How tough is the iMtech(Btech+Mtech) course at IIIT Bangalore?

The iMTech course at IIIT Bangalore is quite challenging and rigorous. The students are evaluated weekly through tests and assignments. They hardly get any free time. However, students joining this course are aware of the right and still are committed to hard work. A friend who joined the recent batch shared her experience. The first quiz took place just 12 days from the orientation after which quizzes were scheduled for every week. She had to go through strict deadlines for completion of 50% of Python and C in just 2 weeks. The college has a very rigorous academic ambiance helping students to become punctual and learn time management. Fees and Financial Aid:

The tution fees for BT-CSE is :- Rs.2,30,000(Year 1 and 2) , Rs.2,76,000(Year 3 and 4) totalling it for the duration fo 4 years it is 20 lakhs 20 thousands approx,The hostel residential program is compulsory for all the students and the hostel fees is Rs. 40000 per semester and mess food and catering cost for per semester is 28,800. They also provide you with medical insurance of 2000 yearly and we need to give some depsoits as library and caution deposit which equals roughly around 19000 which is refundable . There is no reservation policies(like SC/ST) here so there is no different fees structure for any student of BT-CSE.The college provides Utkarsh scholarship in which for the top 5 ranker in jee mains under CRL 999 will get 100% fee waiver in tution fees. We also have a dean's list scholarship (in which a specific set of students having CGPA 3.6+/4 are enlisted in this and depending on the availibality of funds a certain percentage of stduents are awarded a scholarship of Rs 50,000 per year.

IIITB TRUTHS

I'm currently studying 1st year I have paid 3.18L in 1st semester and tuition fee is around 21lakhs for 8 semesters caution fee around 15k there is no reservation in our college. It's only MERIT based. Avg package is around 25lakhs. Great internship and reasearch opportunities.

In the first and second year worrkload is high, although those works are very rewarding eventually.

The fee varies year wise, first and second year - 1.6 lakhs per seamester third and fourth year - 1.92 lakhs per seamester fifth year - 2.3 lakhs per seamester Hostel Charge - 38k per seamester Mess charge - 28k per seamester There are various scholarships such as Utkarsha Scheme , which provides tution fee reimbursment for top jee rankrer Then there are cgpa based scholarships,those who score more than 9 cgpa ovrerall are awarded with 50k scholarship for that year.

IIIT-B A Designer's view

The year-wise fees I will be paying is 4 lakh rupees. As there is no reservation there are no separate fees for each category. The Tuition fee is around 1.75 lakhs per semester, so the total is around 3.45 lakhs. for a complete year. The caution fee is 5000 per year. There are no separate fees for registration, lab and development, all of those are included in the tuition fee.

I like curriculum here . It is so good that you will learn what is needed for industry.

The fees are so high that on an average for 5 years, you get to pay 600000 per year for an integrated MTech course. There are some scholarships available. You can get up to 50,000 scholarships if you are in the top 5 of your batch every year. Jee ranks below 1000 and can study without academic fees.

The fee you should pay will be increasing for each sem as you go up. We will pay almost 5.5 in full 1st year,then 6 in second ye,6 in 3rd yr, 7 in 4th yr same in 5th year (all are in lakhs). We can pay through bank loans through education loans which will provided easily from nearby canara bank where every one in clg will take from..

The course curriculum and the exposure towards research

The fees is 6 lakhs per year I.e 3 lakh per semester. There are concessions for students who are in Dean's merit list. To get into the list, a student needs to get atleast 3.6/4 cgpa.Stident can also take loan easily.

30000 for hostel and 30000 for mess per semester. The tuition fee is slightly expensive with 2240000 for 5 years of the integrated Mtech course. The payment process is very simple and the website is very smooth. There are no issues with payment.

Fee: 500000 /yr and a slight increase every 2 years to accomodate for inflation inflation complete cost: 5 years course +hostel ->30 lakhs We get health insurance included and scholarship if we score a cgpa of 3.6/4 or above
