Likes

Scholarships are available at good scores in jee mains but there are also internal scholarships within semesters if you score good in one semester you can get scholarship financial assistance was also good
Teachers are good and they teach well and helping us to improve
The placement opportunities are good and allows big companies like amazon take students from the university.

Dislikes

The placements of this campus are very bad considering it's a government funded technical institution and the ranks for this college are high. the package should be atleast 6-7 lpa average for a cse student.
One more thing i hate here is that sports is not good here
Mess food is horrible here. the worst thing about the hostel life is mess food here.

Dont opt for smvdu

Likes

The campus is full of greenery and scenic beauty is just waooo the environment around is peaceful
You get good friends and hostel life is fun

Dislikes

Faculty is not updated they still teach you with old methods
Classrooms are old type no proper arrangement of desks and no projector
There is no skill development programmes and so much restrictions on the student activities including cultural and extra Co curriculum

Course Curriculum Overview:

Teaching methods should be changed and faculty should be motivated to adapt the new way of teaching and syllabus . For example taxation subject which is mathematical in nature was taught us orally without knowing that it is one of the main subject in the course The curriculum is of no use in real world and everything is like you are still stuck in 2000 s way of teaching

Likes

The atmosphere is so welcoming and it makes iy easier to grasp and learn things
Highly qualified staff from varied backgrounds helps to provide a wholesome experience

Dislikes

At times the mess food is not that great which is a case in most of the universities
Power cuts during exams makes it really difficult

Placement Experience:

Placements begin within your 3 year of college and a decent amount of companies visit the univeesity for the placement drive ,there is a specific training and placement cell in the university which provides all the related information .Average package ranges from 6lakhs per anum to 8lakhs per anum and above

Smvdu - the best in jammu

Likes

Ambiance - it has a good atmosphere as the professors are also very supportive and understanding.
The playground too is very big and there are different types of games & sports we can play.
Diverse course option - it has different courses which a student can opt for further studies. It has integrated courses too

Dislikes

The walking distance is somewhere long distance as student has to walk a distance to their hostel or playground from the main campus

Placement Experience:

164 UG (4 years) and 13 UG (5 years), 76 PG (2 years) and 4 PG (5 years) students are placed and the median package offered is INR 4.6 LPA, INR 2.5 LPA, INR 4.2 LPA and INR 4.02 LPA respectively. These are the packages offered from the university. Companies like infosys,wipro, reliance etc offeres placement in thi University.

Everthing about SMVDU

Likes

Teachers and the atmosphere Will get great teaching experience from them
Environment, because it is based on Trikuta Hills
The mess and the breakfast, lunch and dinner of the mess is good

Dislikes

There is no such thing to dislike. Expect some teachers.
One more thing is the rainy season when it comes to rain. Season teachers don’t cancel their class. We have to go to the class in rain also.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The specs of the cirque that influence your decision to choose. This course is the opportunity and many other things like the view and other specific things there is no need to. There is no need of improvement in course of circular and teaching method because teachers are very excellent. The exams appears on month like minor one minor two in metres and assignments. It is not that difficult if you study along.

My experience in smvdu

Likes

I like the environment of the university. The views and mountains and we can see Vaishno Devi from here as well which is a very nice.

Dislikes

I don’t like the food over here. The mess food especially is so bad that it’s hard to eat but we have to eat it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate it about 7 because they have offered bba+mba in 5 years. Which is nice. I can do my graduation and post graduation from here only. Otherwise I would have to find another university for doing my masters. But here it becomes easy.

Likes

The campus is located in mountains and the infrastructure
Extra curricular activities including music clubs photography clubs
The hill view of mata vaishno devi and the weather here

Dislikes

The campus is in mountains and is filled with monkeys all over.
The Hostel facilities are not up to date sone technical faults in washrooms and water tanks

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was interested in bachelor of business administration and opted for the same the strength of my class is 110 still our teachers and faculty member manage our class very well . Areas for improvement would be inclusion of different field activities and practical knowledge

Likes

Infrastructure is really good of the university
The university is in a very good surrounding in between mountains And nature
Faculty is really good in terms of work.

Dislikes

Mess food is really of low quality and bad
Bathrooms need to pe properly sanitzed in hostels
the management processes of the university needs to be improved

The practicality of the concept approach by the teacher is really good and the use of real life examples and problems help in making the concept clearing even more efficient the classes are held regular and are simplified and the timings are well planned

A review about smvdu university

Likes

The teaching skills of the professors is really appréciable
The university is surrounded by nature and mountains.
Technology advancement of the university is also appréciable

Dislikes

The food of the mess could be better than its is.
The bathrooms and washrooms can be mire maintained and cleaned.
The management processes could be much more faster.

Placement Experience:

A lots of well known business come for hiring in the university such as adani group, ICICI, byjus, tata . The average package in management département is from 3-5 lakhs. The highest is 26 lakhs. About 70% of the students get placed every year.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement of college is good i can't say that the placements are so high and ubelievable . But there are placements for the students which study ata a regular basis and have a good cgp. My plans after getting the degree is to gfind a valid resonable and good job.

Campus:- Some hostels are good and sone hostels are not good
Infrastructure:- the infrastructure of my university is good.
Teachers:- Some teachers are very good and sone are average

Dislikes

Mess :- the food of mess is not good and untasty
Infrastructure:- some departments of my university are very small
Techers:- some teachers in our university don't know how to teach

Placement Experience:

The sixth semester students become eligible for campus placements. I am from First semester so that i have no idea about placements info. The highest package from our university is 20 lakh and minimum package is 3 lakh. 30 to 40 percentage of students gets placements. My plan after getting this degree is opening a startup or business.
