I think sports needed some improvement other than that I think no need to improve for now
Engagement with campus life is good as I expected and the quality of social interaction with campus placement

There is no thing's dislike, everything is good and interesting. Teachers are good

In my area this college is best and most of students come from another state. I choose this college over other colleges because of their facilities and many more reason . Like it's has great reviews and other than that it's has a best teaching

It's all about my college

Likes

Faculty is good. Overalll campus is good.
It's all greeney here. With healthy environment
Sports are available there. And chance of higher like national level.

Dislikes

There are less number of faculty in my courses
There is some hostel issue.right now but it will be solved
Mess is not good there. They need to change that contracter

See there are few central university wo offer these courses. And I also want to explore gandhinagar so I choose this college . And yes due to some marks I can't get JNU. So this is one more reason Admission process is so simple. Appeared in cuet exam that conducted by NTA every year.. make a good marks and then apply in this college

Things i like about thi University is that all the faculty members whom are belongs to our department they are also so help ful to us . Which i really like this University.
Our department's faculty is really good.
Till now i haven't met any rude teachers or professors in this university.

Dislikes

The infrastructure i didn't like that much but its Okay.
Mess fee is little bit higher than we expected.
No fest in this college and i think its because of lack of organization.

Admission:

I choose this college because it is in the top 5 colleges for our department which is chinese department. And its great to do better for your future. And our department is quite big from others department .

The course is affordable when compared to other universities providing this course
Good teaching faculty and very good library is available at the campus
Diversity in the students as there is a lot of students from different states.

The campus is small but is under construction

Other central universities like haryana, kashmir, uttarakhand called me for admission but due to the distance i chose this university. The admission process of the college is through CUET merit. Eligibility for Bachelors is 12th and CUET UG, whereas for Masters it is Graduation and CUET PG.

My two years at CUG

Likes

There were people with mixed culture, and that was the best part! Knowing new cultures, traditions, everything, was a plus point always.
All the PhD seniors were very helpful and kind, in any matter, whether it be clearing doubts realted to any practical or even guidance for end semester dissertation.
Garba nights during navratri was the best part!

Dislikes

Canteen food, not much good and didnt have much variety and taste.

Admission:

I gave CUET PG exam for Life Sciences Code and later on when the registrations for Central universities started, I registered. So, I did register for Central University of Gujarat as well as Central University of Karnataka. And once the universities published their first merit lists, I got an email from both the universities that I had been shortlisted in the first merit list. So I chose CUG instead of CUK because of 2 reasons, one is that, Gandhinagar is far more safe and better for girls, than any other place right now in India. And other was that, the curriculum of CUG and faculty was really good, which I wanted to have. So, I filled the form, paid the fees for admission and later on for document verification I had to go to Campus offline, for the same.

CUG: As a Place

Likes

Faculty there is quite nice and professional
They know very much about their fields and give us the best
With new ways to make us more engaged they try their best to make it interesting

Dislikes

The campus life is not very happening and can be stagnant
It campus is small for now, not what one expects from a central university
The hostel facilities for now isn't very good

Admission:

The teachers are very professional and best when it comes to teaching chinese, but besides that the college in general is not a very happening place so you get bored easily. But if you just look at the teaching aspect, it is nice. The cutoff also is moderate so one can get in. And the teachers were always available when asked about a doubt in regards to admission and made us feel comfortable and removed all our doubts, even the seniors here are very friendly and that speaks a lot about the college too.

Detailed review of Central University of Gujarat, Gandhinagar

Likes

The campus life is serene and peaceful. The environment isn't polluted and there's plenty of greenery and peace of mind.
The faculty pan University is extremely helpful. They all are always ready to aid students regarding any issue.
The courses and events in the university are very relevant. They keep invited speakers from outside for seminars and lectures.

Dislikes

The campus is a temporary one. A permanent campus is under construction near Vadodara. There could be more facilities, for e.g. better accomodation in the temporary campus.
The canteen could be better. They mostly provide vegetarian food and often non-vegetarian students struggle to fit in.
The university environment can at times get too political, although the faculty refrains from it, the student bodies are quite active in the regard.

Admission:

The course required a Bachelor's degree from any course (background in English wasn't a requirement). The required cut-off was 55% for the general category. We had to sit for a common entrance test called CUET. The whole process was relatively straightforward. After we gave the exams, in the next few weeks we got our scored and applied for our preferred universities. The admission process in the University was also simple. Merit lists were released and students were admitted on the basis of first come basis from the list, subsequent lists were released for the vacancy seats. Fees was to be paid online and the receipt was to be shown to the adminstrative department. As the whole process was not complicated in the nearest, I don't have any particular suggestions for improvement.

An overview of central university of Gujarat

Likes

Now campus is good and small so I know everyone like from another department also and that give me benefits to know other person's culture etc.
Gamming is also good in CUG, and people are also good they help each other.
Research work is good, like if you r interested to do something, you can college will support you

Dislikes

Canteen.. now it is not good that much . My lots of friends having food poisoning by eating food from canteen.
University don't have its own playground.
Central University should provide more fund in research and development.

Admission:

NTA conduct a exam named CUET , by which we can get admission in central university of Gujarat. Eligibility - B.Sc from any university in physics, chemistry or bio/ maths. From NTA site every year we can fill CUET form. Seats are limited so every catagory has limited seats. 1hr exam, online , moderate difficult. Physics, chemistry and bio,and general knowledge

Life at CUG

Classroom teaching and faculties. college campus and environment
Entire Hostel facilities, safe environment especially for women, easy to find stuffs nearby etc
Library and VLRC, reading room facilities, if one has no classes they can enjoy studying there in AC and prepare their works

I got in through the CUCET examinations in 2020, and the admission process was easy and smooth, after getting my score I applied to the college admission portal, which considered all student's marks and scores and created respective merit lists according to the subject if one finds their names on the list they are reached by official email also calls from CUG and they guide on how to pay admission fees and one can easily get admission there, the mentor's teachers and office staffs are really cordial so one might not face much hazy admission process There is no direct application form, one has to go through the central university entrance examination test the process being very organised I do not think there need to be any such changes but if the university/ central ministry feels so they could

Admission:

The college needs to start placement cell in bachelors. Hostels are very far away from campus and the college campus is very small and this should be changed. Teachers are very supportive but the students are very less as compared to other universities. There is no ground for sports activities.
