The ambience of the campus the calmness n serenity it offers
If it comes to senior junior relationship we ve the best here
There is more gals to the no of boys in this campus

The frequent change in faculties n staff

I'm just in 4th semester so m yet to know of wht the uni has to offer with regards to internship However we've been asked to go for an internship at any firm, of course with a letter of communication from our respective departments as a credited course

Likes

Techers are friendly and helpful in nature
Environment of the college , the way rules and regulations are followed
Events are organised very gracefully and in a discipline manner ( by students)

Dislikes

Not very much coperative some of HODs are
The Faculty management is not appropriate
Class size is too large and it is very difficult for me to understand things

ADBU : through the lens of a first year.

Likes

The campus is very beautiful plus the food in each canteen is very clean and hygienic.
The faculty is great, solves doubt individually plus they provide various opportunities for scholarship. The fests are diverse and etc..
Students from different culture and community come here and its a great opportunity to know every culture.

Dislikes

Transportation : since the university is in a hill, Transportation is a bit of a problem here. Though, there are various campus auto-rickshaws, sometimes they're not available.
Clash : Having different cultures here is a pro as well as a con..Because of this diversity, there are fights sometimes between different tribes

Internships Opportunities:

- I'm in my first year here so opportunities for me are not quite much. But seniors got opportunities from companies like AMAZON, GOOGLE, MICROSOFT, TATA, Wadhwani Foundation, Internshala etc..and there's opportunities often.

6th semester Internship i did in IOCL Bongaigaon it was amazing and learned lots of things from refinieries like in power plant, boiler, compressor in its campus and green surroundings also received certificate

College Life

Likes

I like the cafeteria area the canteen is good
The faculty of the college are good and supportive.
Very good place to have study with everyone supporting.

Dislikes

The campus experience is not so good. The campus is very short.
The campus is not so big. The auditorium stage is very small and speakers are really really bad
The fees structure is too high. And the facility we get is not upto mark.

Internships Opportunities:

I worked as a intern in an govt institute. I worked at IT department, i was given to create software for them to store datas. It was a non paying stipend less internship. I created software for storing many information required for them to store.

Life At ADBU

Likes

The environment is too good for studies, Good facilities Smart boards, projectors, AC labs
Regular tests and evaluations. Proper Importance given to students
Well Experienced and good faculties, good teaching methods and mentorship quality

Dislikes

Improvements are needed in Placement opportunities.

Placement Experience:

3rd sem onwards placement starts. Very little company shows up. And even less offer something. To date, one came (PWC)for intership/training and gave to 7 B.Tech CSE students among hundreds. And the packages offered are too low for survival outside the hometown.

Review about my Campus life

Likes

The things I like about my college is the teachers encouragement for engaging in different workshops, competitions, seminars and in different activities including on campus and outside the campus. Teachers are supportive and good.
We have different seminars and interaction sessions. They encouraged us to take part in every event we get.
We have the teacher student mentorship and can discuss anything with mentor for our need that i like it.

Dislikes

The infrastructures are not that good and cleanliness is like about 70% only and sometimes programs are not well organised.
Canteen are not that good and food quality is also average and cleanliness is a must
Sometimes I feel like there are too much extra curricular activities that are not needed that sometimes make it difficult for us

We can apply for Ishan Uday, NSP and within college it's a merit scholarship for the students with high percentage in their 12 board. The amount of the scholarship depends on the course you are persuing.

Assam Don Bosco University in a nutshell

Likes

The faculty is really helpful and friendly. They provide guidance on many aspects
The campus is beautiful. It provides for a really great atmosphere for academics
The students and peers belong to different states of North East India, along with some belonging to mainland India.

Dislikes

Thr hostels are not well maintained. The washrooms are not cleaned properly with disinfectants
The wardens and security guards harass students regarding their clothes
The rooms are not air conditioned and well ventilated. This results in claustrophobic situations among many students

Internships Opportunities:

Internships are offered through internshala and sometimes different foundations come to campus providing various internships for the students. Most of the internships are unpaid. But if secured independently, we can obtain paid internships

University life of an average student

Likes

The professor are well qualified and are very good in their own domain with a lot of experience
This university also makes sure that the students come to the college everyday as 75% attendance is mandatory to sit for the exams.

Dislikes

The timing is one of the thing that I personally don't like it is a bit early for an university student and also the exams are quite frequent
There are two campus in our university one is in Tapesia and other one is in Azara I stay in Azara campus and it is very small campus

As first year student i didn't get to do internship yet but it is necessary that we complete atleast three internship during our degree . Various companies come to our college for hiring the interns it is good that we are encouraged to do internship as it gives us work experience .
