A review of GITAM: Great campus life, good curriculum

Likes

The campus is really beautiful and it's close to the beach.
The university and management are really open, compared to other universities, which are uptight. Gitam on the other hand allows students to express themselves
Well rounded curriculum, without singular focus on rote learning

Dislikes

Vizag's climate can get irritating, as it's really humid
The grading is done as that there is not much deviation so even if you study well, your marks are not going to be much different than those who did not
There is a lack of public transportation and universities buses are not thast good either

Placement Experience:

The placements are good, there are a lot of companies visiting, but for us most of the companies were for marketing and sales roles, the roles that were offered in finance were realtively less. Overall you will get placed somehere.
