Placement Experience:

4th-year students are getting campus placement through various private companies. Wipro, TCS, Tech Mahindra, HCL, isro, drdo, Vishakapatnam steel plant etc .are hiring students to join. Almost 60 per cent of students are getting campus placement. And after my degree, I am willing to appear for government jobs in my core group such as SSC JE, AE etc.

Placement Experience:

Around 80% of students from different branches are getting campus placements. I am a civil engineer so I am focusing on the GATE exam which is very crucial for my career so that I can get some good jobs in the public sector.

Nearly 60percebtage of people get placements in technical branches like cse and ece All other non-techincal will opt for competitive exams like gate, IES, other exams Some of the non-techincal branch people can also get placement in the technical role

Course Curriculum Overview:

I'm interested in civil engineering. there are 2. professors for 70 students. qualification of professors is Ph.D. our professors teach in a simple way that students can understand the subject. there are 2 semesters one for 6 months. somewhat is easy to pass.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for getting the placements from the 2nd semester of their 3rd year. Companies such as L&T, TCS, and cognizant offer campus placements. The highest package is around 10 to 12 lakhs, almost 50 percent of the students get placed every year and the others search for govt jobs.

What is your review of Andhra University?

One of my friends graduated from Andhra University. According to him, it is very reputed among students as well as professionals. But like every other institution, it also has its fair share of positives and negatives. Let me share them with you which you can analyze later on.

Pros:

  • It is one of the oldest universities in the country, hence has a great alumni network.
  • The student intake in each department is 30-60, which benefits the student-teacher interaction.
  • Each department has its own dedicated library consisting of several books, magazines, journals, and other study materials.
  • The campus is huge, covering 600 acres.
  • They have the biggest sports ground. Students are also provided with a gym and basketball court.
  • The entire campus is wifi enabled.

Cons:

  • The placements are average. The number of companies visiting the college has gradually decreased.
  • The lab equipment is not well maintained or upgraded.
  • Andhra University follows the age-old curriculum with little to no changes.
  • Students are told to put more emphasis on theoretical learning than practical.
  • Exams are mostly based on theories rather than practicals.

Overall, it is an above-average institution. It may not be like the IITs or NITs but still works well. It is suggested that you opt for this only if you have missed the opportunity to study in the IITs or NITs.
