- Branch-wise Closing Ranks: Final closing ranks for all branches and categories will be published after counselling concludes, expected by August 2026. CSE closing ranks in Round 1 historically fall between 500 and 1,500 depending on category.
- Admission Confirmation: If you are allotted a seat in Round 2 or later rounds, you must pay the admission fee online within the stipulated window and physically report to the allotted college with original documents to confirm your seat.
What is AUEET 2026?
AUEET stands for Andhra University Engineering Entrance Test. Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, conducts this exam every year to select students for its 6-year integrated dual degree (B.Tech + M.Tech) programmes at the University College of Engineering (AUCE) and the Andhra University College of Engineering for Women. Both colleges are on the Andhra University main campus in Visakhapatnam.
The 6-year integrated programme is the defining feature of AUEET-based admissions. Instead of completing B.Tech (4 years) and M.Tech (2 years) as separate programmes with separate admission processes, students at AUCE complete both degrees in a single 6-year programme. This gives you a postgraduate engineering degree faster with better research exposure throughout the course.
AUEET is specifically for residents of Andhra Pradesh. It is not a national-level exam. The exam is conducted in offline (pen and paper) mode with 100 multiple choice questions in 90 minutes. Questions are based on Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics at the Intermediate (10+2) level. There is no negative marking.

AUEET 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Andhra University sets clear rules on domicile, educational qualification, and minimum marks percentage for AUEET. Not meeting even one criterion makes you ineligible. Check all conditions carefully before applying.
Domicile Requirement
AUEET is only open to residents of Andhra Pradesh. Candidates from other states cannot apply. You need to submit a valid AP residence or domicile certificate at the time of counselling and reporting.
Educational Qualification
- You must have passed 10+2 (Intermediate or an equivalent qualifying exam).
- Your subjects in 10+2 must include Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).
- You must have secured a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in PCM combined.
- For candidates from reserved categories (SC/ST), the minimum aggregate is 45% in PCM.
- Students appearing for their 10+2 exams in March/April 2026 were also eligible to apply. Such candidates must produce the qualifying certificate at the time of counselling.
Age Limit
You must have completed 17 years of age on or before December 31, 2026. Andhra University does not specify a maximum age limit for AUEET.
Number of Attempts

AUEET 2026 Exam Pattern
AUEET 2026 was conducted offline (pen and paper) on May 10, 2026. The paper had 100 MCQs to be solved in 90 minutes with no negative marking. Every correct answer carried +1 mark, and wrong answers or unattempted questions carried zero marks.
| Particulars | Details |
|---|---|
| Mode of Exam | Offline (Pen and Paper Based Test) |
| Duration | 90 minutes (1 hour 30 minutes) |
| Total Questions | 100 |
| Total Marks | 100 |
| Type of Questions | Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) — 4 options each |
| Marking Scheme | +1 mark for each correct answer |
| Negative Marking | None (zero marks for wrong or unattempted) |
| Medium / Language | English |
AUEET 2026 Subject-wise Question Distribution
| Subject | Number of Questions | Marks | Weightage |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mathematics | 40 | 40 | 40% |
| Physics | 30 | 30 | 30% |
| Chemistry | 30 | 30 | 30% |

Carry all original documents along with two sets of self-attested photocopies when you report to the college. Incomplete documentation is the most common reason for delays at the reporting stage. Visit the college well before the deadline — do not wait until the last day.
AUEET 2026 Cutoff
The AUEET 2026 branch-wise closing ranks (cutoff) will be published after all rounds of counselling are complete, expected by August 2026. The cutoff is the last rank at which a seat was allotted in a given branch and category in each round. It is not announced in advance — it is a result of the counselling process.
The table below shows expected closing rank ranges based on previous year data. These are historical trends and are not official AUEET 2026 cutoffs.
AUEET Expected Closing Ranks 2026 – Branch-wise (Based on Previous Year Trends)
| Branch | General (Expected Closing Rank) | SC / ST (Expected Closing Rank) |
|---|---|---|
| Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) | 500 – 1,500 | 1,500 – 3,000 |
| Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) | 1,500 – 3,000 | 3,000 – 5,000 |
| Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) | 2,000 – 4,000 | 4,000 – 6,000 |

| Metallurgical Engineering | 5,000 – 8,500 | 7,000 – 10,500 |
These closing rank ranges are indicative, based on previous year AUEET counselling data. Official AUEET 2026 cutoffs will be released after all rounds conclude. Do not treat these as confirmed 2026 cutoffs.
Factors That Affect AUEET Cutoff
- Total qualified candidates: More candidates competing for the same seats raises the cutoff.
- Number of seats per branch: Fewer seats in a branch means the cutoff rank is tighter.
- Exam difficulty level: A tougher paper can lower raw scores and shift the cutoff rank.
- Category-wise reservations: SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates compete within their own category pool, resulting in separate cutoffs.
- Round of counselling: Closing ranks typically ease (get larger in number, i.e., less competitive) in later rounds as top-ranked candidates have already locked in seats.
Top Colleges Accepting AUEET Score
AUEET score is used exclusively for admission to engineering colleges under Andhra University. Two colleges on the Andhra University main campus in Visakhapatnam accept AUEET scores for the 6-year integrated dual degree (B.Tech + M.Tech) programmes.
| College Name | Location | Type | Branches Offered |
|---|---|---|---|
| Andhra University College of Engineering (AUCE) | Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh | Government (University Campus) | CSE, ECE, EEE, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Metallurgical |
| Andhra University College of Engineering for Women (AUCEW) | Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh | Government (University Campus – Women only) | CSE, ECE, EEE, Civil |
Why Choose Andhra University College of Engineering?
- Legacy and Reputation: AUCE was established in 1946. It is one of the oldest and most respected engineering institutions in Andhra Pradesh with a strong alumni network across industry and government sectors.
- NAAC A+ Accreditation: Andhra University holds NAAC A+ accreditation, reflecting high academic and research standards across departments.
- 6-Year Dual Degree Advantage: You complete B.Tech and M.Tech in a single integrated 6-year programme. This saves you from a separate postgraduate admission process and gives you six continuous years of research-level engagement at the same institution.
- Strong Placement Record: CSE and ECE branches at AUCE consistently achieve 90–95% placement rates. Core branches like Mechanical, Civil, and EEE typically see 70–80% placements with core industry companies and PSUs (Public Sector Undertakings).
- Low Fee Structure: As a government-aided university institution, AUCE’s annual fee is significantly lower than private engineering colleges of comparable reputation in Andhra Pradesh. For a 6-year programme, this cost advantage is substantial.
- Campus Infrastructure: Students access Andhra University’s central library, research laboratories, sports facilities, and hostels — all within the main Visakhapatnam campus.
AUEET 2026 Marks vs Rank Analysis
Knowing how your score maps to a rank helps you plan which branch to target during counselling. Since AUEET is a 100-mark paper, your raw score directly determines your rank. The total candidate pool competing in AUEET is smaller than in state-wide exams like AP EAMCET, which makes rank estimation more predictable from marks.
AUEET Expected Marks vs Rank (Based on Previous Year Trends)
| Marks Scored (out of 100) | Expected Rank Range | Branch Likely (General Category) |
|---|---|---|
| 90 and above | 1 – 50 | CSE (top preference seats) |
| 80 – 89 | 50 – 300 | CSE, ECE |
| 70 – 79 | 300 – 800 | CSE (later rounds), ECE, EEE |
| 60 – 69 | 800 – 2,000 | ECE, EEE, Mechanical |
| 50 – 59 | 2,000 – 4,000 | Mechanical, Civil, Chemical |
| 40 – 49 | 4,000 – 7,000 | Civil, Chemical, Metallurgical |
| Below 40 | 7,000+ | Depends on seat availability after all rounds |
These rank ranges are estimated from previous year AUEET data. Actual ranks depend on the total candidates appearing and the difficulty of that year’s paper. Use these only as directional estimates.
Mathematics accounts for 40 out of 100 marks — the single biggest factor in your AUEET rank. Candidates who score 35+ in Maths and 20+ each in Physics and Chemistry comfortably land in the top 500 ranks, which opens CSE or ECE at AUCE in the General category. If your Maths is weak, strengthening it alone can shift you from a Rank 3,000 to a Rank 1,000 range — a difference of two or three branches in seniority.
AUEET 2026 Preparation Tips
Students preparing for AUEET 2027 — or looking to understand how high-rankers approach this exam — should keep the paper’s structure firmly in mind. The exam rewards breadth of Intermediate-level knowledge more than deep coaching-level problem solving.
Prioritise Mathematics Above All
Mathematics has 40 questions — 40% of the paper. If you score 35 or above in Maths alone, you are already in a competitive rank range. Focus on Coordinate Geometry, Calculus, and Algebra first, as these three areas consistently carry the highest question count in AUEET every year.
Your Intermediate Textbooks Are Enough
AUEET questions are based on the Class 11 and 12 Intermediate syllabus. NCERT textbooks for Physics and Chemistry are the right foundation. For Mathematics, the Andhra Pradesh state board Intermediate textbooks align directly with the AUEET pattern. You do not need advanced coaching materials or special books for this exam.
No Negative Marking — Attempt Every Question
Since AUEET has no negative marking, you must attempt all 100 questions. Even a guess gives you a 25% chance of scoring on that MCQ. Never leave any question blank. In a 100-mark paper with no penalties, every unattempted question is a missed opportunity you cannot get back.
Build Speed: 54 Seconds Per Question
You have 90 minutes for 100 questions — an average of 54 seconds each. Practice timed mock tests regularly. Use a stopwatch and strictly observe the 90-minute limit. Solve previous year AUEET papers under real exam conditions at least 3–4 times before the actual test to build accuracy and pace simultaneously.
Solve Previous Year AUEET Question Papers
- AUEET previous year question papers are available on the official portal and educational websites.
- Solving 5–7 years of past papers gives you a clear picture of question types and difficulty level.
- Many AUEET questions, especially in Mathematics and Chemistry, repeat in identical or slightly modified form across years. Recognising these patterns gives you a significant edge on exam day.
Chemistry: Short Notes for Reactions and Properties
Chemistry questions in AUEET are mostly direct and fact-based. IUPAC names, periodic table trends, chemical reaction types, and Organic Chemistry mechanisms are frequent question sources. Make short revision notes for all Organic Chemistry reaction chains and go through them daily in the last 30 days before the exam. Consistent daily revision of Chemistry facts — not deep problem-solving — is the most effective strategy for this subject in AUEET.
Physics: Formula Sheet and Daily Numericals
Physics questions mix conceptual and formula-based problems. Electrostatics, Current Electricity, and Optics are especially well-tested in AUEET. Build a personal formula sheet covering all Physics chapters and revise it daily. Solve at least one or two numerical problems from each chapter every day. A disciplined 3-month preparation window covering the full syllabus this way is enough to score 22–26 out of 30 in Physics.

For SC/ST candidates, the required score is lower. Exact cutoffs change year to year based on paper difficulty and total applicants.
Ques. What is the AUEET 2026 cutoff for CSE?
Ans. The official AUEET 2026 branch-wise cutoff (closing ranks) will be released only after all counselling rounds finish, expected by August 2026. Based on previous years, the General category closing rank for CSE in Round 1 is typically between 500 and 1,500. SC/ST closing ranks for CSE have historically been around 1,500 to 3,000.
Ques. What is the AUEET 2026 exam pattern?
Ans. AUEET 2026 had 100 MCQs in 90 minutes in offline mode. Mathematics had 40 questions (40 marks), Physics had 30 questions (30 marks), and Chemistry had 30 questions (30 marks). Each correct answer carried +1 mark with no negative marking for wrong answers. The paper was in English only.
Ques. Is AUEET open to candidates from outside Andhra Pradesh?
Ans. No. AUEET is exclusively for residents of Andhra Pradesh. Candidates from other states are not eligible. A valid AP domicile certificate is required at the time of counselling. If you are from outside Andhra Pradesh and want to study engineering in AP, look at AP EAMCET, which has a different eligibility structure.
Ques. What is the advantage of the 6-year dual degree programme at Andhra University?
Ans. The 6-year integrated dual degree (B.Tech + M.Tech) at Andhra University lets you complete both undergraduate and postgraduate engineering degrees in a single programme. Normally, B.Tech takes 4 years and M.Tech takes 2 more — that is 6+ years with a separate PG admission exam in between. The integrated route combines both into 6 seamless years at the same campus, saving you from a separate GATE/PGECET attempt and giving you uninterrupted research exposure from Day 1.
Ques. How can I check AUEET 2026 Round 2 counselling dates?
Ans. Round 2 counselling dates will be officially announced on the Andhra University Directorate of Admissions portal at audoa.andhrauniversity.edu.in. Check the portal regularly. Round 2 is expected to start in the first week of July 2026, but the official notification has not yet been released as of July 1, 2026.
