AUEET 2026: Eligibility, Syllabus, Exam Pattern, Cutoff and Counselling

AUEET 2026 (Andhra University Engineering Entrance Test) is a university-level entrance exam conducted by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, for admission to 6-year integrated dual degree (B.Tech + M.Tech) programmes at the University College of Engineering (AUCE) and the Andhra University College of Engineering for Women. The exam was held on May 10, 2026, and the result was declared on May 14–15, 2026. As of July 1, 2026, AUEET 2026 counselling is actively underway — Round 1 allotment and reporting to colleges are complete, and Round 2 is expected to begin shortly.

• Round 2 Counselling: AUEET 2026 Round 2 counselling is expected to begin in the first week of July 2026. In Round 1, seat allotment was declared on June 14 and candidates completed reporting to allotted colleges by June 22, 2026.
• Spot Round: A spot round for seats remaining vacant after all regular rounds is expected in August 2026. In 2025, the spot round was conducted on the Andhra University campus in late July.
• Branch-wise Closing Ranks: Final closing ranks for all branches and categories will be published after counselling concludes, expected by August 2026. CSE closing ranks in Round 1 historically fall between 500 and 1,500 depending on category.
• Admission Confirmation: If you are allotted a seat in Round 2 or later rounds, you must pay the admission fee online within the stipulated window and physically report to the allotted college with original documents to confirm your seat.

What is AUEET 2026?

AUEET stands for Andhra University Engineering Entrance Test. Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, conducts this exam every year to select students for its 6-year integrated dual degree (B.Tech + M.Tech) programmes at the University College of Engineering (AUCE) and the Andhra University College of Engineering for Women. Both colleges are on the Andhra University main campus in Visakhapatnam.

The 6-year integrated programme is the defining feature of AUEET-based admissions. Instead of completing B.Tech (4 years) and M.Tech (2 years) as separate programmes with separate admission processes, students at AUCE complete both degrees in a single 6-year programme. This gives you a postgraduate engineering degree faster with better research exposure throughout the course.

AUEET is specifically for residents of Andhra Pradesh. It is not a national-level exam. The exam is conducted in offline (pen and paper) mode with 100 multiple choice questions in 90 minutes. Questions are based on Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics at the Intermediate (10+2) level. There is no negative marking.

AUEET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Andhra University sets clear rules on domicile, educational qualification, and minimum marks percentage for AUEET. Not meeting even one criterion makes you ineligible. Check all conditions carefully before applying.

Domicile Requirement

AUEET is only open to residents of Andhra Pradesh. Candidates from other states cannot apply. You need to submit a valid AP residence or domicile certificate at the time of counselling and reporting.

Educational Qualification

• You must have passed 10+2 (Intermediate or an equivalent qualifying exam).
• Your subjects in 10+2 must include Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).
• You must have secured a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in PCM combined.
• For candidates from reserved categories (SC/ST), the minimum aggregate is 45% in PCM.
• Students appearing for their 10+2 exams in March/April 2026 were also eligible to apply. Such candidates must produce the qualifying certificate at the time of counselling.

Age Limit

You must have completed 17 years of age on or before December 31, 2026. Andhra University does not specify a maximum age limit for AUEET.

Number of Attempts

Andhra University does not restrict the number of times you can appear for AUEET. You can attempt the exam in multiple years as long as you continue to meet all eligibility criteria each year.

PCB Candidates Are Not Eligible

If you have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) without Mathematics, you are not eligible for AUEET. Mathematics is a mandatory subject. AUEET is for engineering programmes — biology candidates should look at medical entrance exams instead.

AUEET 2026 Application Process

AUEET 2026 applications were accepted online from March 13 to April 30, 2026. The entire process was completed on the official portal at audoa.andhrauniversity.edu.in. Applications for the 2026 cycle are now closed. The steps below are for reference for future applicants.

Step-by-Step AUEET Application Process

• Step 1 – Registration: Create a new account on the official AUEET portal by entering your name, mobile number, and email ID. Login credentials are sent to you by SMS and email.
• Step 2 – Fill the Application Form: Log in and fill in your personal details, academic qualifications, category information, and address. Double-check all details before saving.
• Step 3 – Upload Documents: Upload a scanned passport-size photograph and your signature in the required format. The photo should be in JPEG format and must not exceed 50 KB.
• Step 4 – Pay the Application Fee: Pay online using net banking, a debit card, or a credit card. The fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.
• Step 5 – Submit and Print: Submit the completed form and take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference at counselling.

The entire application process was online. No offline or postal applications were accepted. All fee payments were also online — no demand draft or cash mode was available.

AUEET 2026 Syllabus

The AUEET 2026 syllabus is based on the Intermediate (10+2) curriculum of Class 11 and Class 12. Questions in all three subjects are drawn from standard AP state board and NCERT-level topics. You do not need any special AUEET material — your Intermediate textbooks and NCERT books are sufficient.

Mathematics Syllabus (40 Questions)

Mathematics carries the most marks in the paper. Cover all six broad areas, with emphasis on Coordinate Geometry, Calculus, and Algebra:

AUEET 2026 Admit Card

Andhra University released the AUEET 2026 admit card on May 7, 2026, three days before the exam. The admit card was available for download on the official website only — no hall ticket was sent by post. This section is for reference for future AUEET applicants who want to know what to expect.

How to Download the AUEET Admit Card

• Visit the official website: audoa.andhrauniversity.edu.in
• Click on the "Download Hall Ticket" or "Admit Card" link on the homepage.
• Enter your AUEET registration number and date of birth.
• Download and print the admit card on A4 paper.
• Keep at least two printed copies — one for submission at the exam centre and one for your records.

AUEET 2026 Answer Key

Andhra University released the AUEET 2026 preliminary answer key on May 11, 2026 — the day after the exam. Candidates had time till May 13, 2026, to raise objections against any answer in the preliminary key through the official portal. After reviewing all objections, the final answer key was released on May 14, 2026.

Both the preliminary and final answer keys are available on the official portal at audoa.andhrauniversity.edu.in. The final key is now active and was used to calculate all ranks.

How to Calculate Your AUEET Score Using the Answer Key

• Download the final answer key PDF from the official website.
• Match your responses (from memory or the response sheet) with the final key.
• Award +1 for each correct answer. There is no deduction for wrong or unattempted answers.
• Your estimated total is the count of correct answers out of 100.

Your official AUEET rank is based on the final answer key, not the preliminary key. If any answer was revised after the objection process, your score could differ slightly from your initial self-estimate. Always rely on the rank card (released after the result) for your official score.

Prioritise Mathematics Above All

Mathematics has 40 questions — 40% of the paper. If you score 35 or above in Maths alone, you are already in a competitive rank range. Focus on Coordinate Geometry, Calculus, and Algebra first, as these three areas consistently carry the highest question count in AUEET every year.

Your Intermediate Textbooks Are Enough

AUEET questions are based on the Class 11 and 12 Intermediate syllabus. NCERT textbooks for Physics and Chemistry are the right foundation. For Mathematics, the Andhra Pradesh state board Intermediate textbooks align directly with the AUEET pattern. You do not need advanced coaching materials or special books for this exam.

No Negative Marking — Attempt Every Question

Since AUEET has no negative marking, you must attempt all 100 questions. Even a guess gives you a 25% chance of scoring on that MCQ. Never leave any question blank. In a 100-mark paper with no penalties, every unattempted question is a missed opportunity you cannot get back.

Build Speed: 54 Seconds Per Question

You have 90 minutes for 100 questions — an average of 54 seconds each. Practice timed mock tests regularly. Use a stopwatch and strictly observe the 90-minute limit. Solve previous year AUEET papers under real exam conditions at least 3–4 times before the actual test to build accuracy and pace simultaneously.

• Solving 5–7 years of past papers gives you a clear picture of question types and difficulty level.
• Many AUEET questions, especially in Mathematics and Chemistry, repeat in identical or slightly modified form across years. Recognising these patterns gives you a significant edge on exam day.

Chemistry: Short Notes for Reactions and Properties

Chemistry questions in AUEET are mostly direct and fact-based. IUPAC names, periodic table trends, chemical reaction types, and Organic Chemistry mechanisms are frequent question sources. Make short revision notes for all Organic Chemistry reaction chains and go through them daily in the last 30 days before the exam. Consistent daily revision of Chemistry facts — not deep problem-solving — is the most effective strategy for this subject in AUEET.

Physics: Formula Sheet and Daily Numericals

Physics questions mix conceptual and formula-based problems. Electrostatics, Current Electricity, and Optics are especially well-tested in AUEET. Build a personal formula sheet covering all Physics chapters and revise it daily. Solve at least one or two numerical problems from each chapter every day. A disciplined 3-month preparation window covering the full syllabus this way is enough to score 22–26 out of 30 in Physics.
