i applied for VSSUT, Burla and ITER(SOA), Bhubaeswar and i got admission letter of NIST berhampur because i am from different state and I didn't knew that OJEE ( state Jee exam of odisha) does not allow outside students for govt college it was my mistake that i got here but after taking admission i can say that it's not a bad college Admission process is average like first you will apply online and then they will call you and give you a date to yake admission eligibility is 12th pass with 45% in PCM for Btech

My College Life.

The best thing that I liked is the faculty members as they are really good teachers and teachers so well that even a failed student can score good mark.
Another thing is about sports and extra curricular activities that they are 22 clubs like technical and non technical
Another thing is rules and regulations and there is no partiality between students.

Dislikes

Transport facilities as there are only limited buses so students have to go by standing.
Lack of communication skills of the students.
Lack of seriousness of few teachers about course.

I didn't applied in any other colleges. I joined this college because the rules and regulations and the faculty members are good. The college provides an average placement of 9 LPA to the students and placements of highest package 25 laksh in MNCs like Accenture,Tata,Texas Instruments etc. To get admission in my college a student have to clear JEE exam with a good percentile and have to book seat and then have to wait for the joining list to be released by the college once it is released the student can get admission by paying the joining fees on the joining date

The campus environment which is very large and clean all the time and many plants and gardens are there in nist that is more amazing.
Nist organizes various types of technical and non-technical workshops for students from which we get to learn many more things that we want to know and this is free of cost...
The faculty of nist are so friendly and they support you in each and every step and they guide you if you want them and approch them.

Dislikes

In computer labs there have many computers that don't working properly
Teaching style is not so accurate as before because the experience teachers get retired from their jobs
The bus system is also not good as we get more crowd in buses.

Admission:

I didn't apply any other colleges because in my town my college nist university is a very popular college and have a own brand value. also in my city the best college for btech. And I applies the application from college itself so I didn't face any type of rejection as I have a good mark in jee exam. For admission the admission team take 11000 from you and 5000 will add to your one of the semester itself as it requires for safety propose. for eligibility you have to pass 12th exam above 55% and pass the jee exams. Overall admission experience is very good and if you have a best percentile in jee exam then you get off to 86000rs of discount on your annual fees.
