- College system (under university several colleges)
- Catered and self catered options
- Small university town - easy to make friends
Dislikes
- Expensive groceries in city centre (UKs most expensive tesco express)
- Public transport not as good
- Rents are expensive (around £10,000+ per annum)
Course Curriculum
10
- I found the course (Economics) regressive and challenging, first year, first term was a lot like 12th grade, but very quickly it got challenging, so I had to ensure I stayed on top of my workload. It was a good mix of theory and practical work.
- I usually had 3 lectures per day and 1 seminar; our contact hours per week were 27 hours.
- Each class has around 160 students
- Durham didn’t have a lot of Indian students. There were 10% Indian in the entire economics batch.
Fees
- Tuition fees were £30.00 per annum, and the fees were to be paid in 3 instalments. Accommodation fees were £8900 per annum in three instalments.
- Charged semester-wise
- My monthly expenses (including groceries, as I cooked for myself), excluding rent, were £600. This included transportation, travels to different cities, food, going out, restaurants, subscriptions, and books.
