  • My University has a main campus and a seperate campus for business school. The facilities include a library, sports center, medical services, and study areas. Major events include the Welcome Week, Leicester Festival of Music & Drama, and various student-run clubs and societies. Extracurricular activities include sports teams, cultural clubs, volunteering, and academic societies.

  • I live in a university-managed accommodation and I first came across it and applied for it through the university website. Monthly rents vary according to the type of rooms selected for stay, prices of which can be from 340 to 800 GBP for every month. Overall, the accommodation is very good. It is situated about a thirty-minute walk from the university but there is free transport available from accommodation to the university.

  • I've found my accommodation on online website called UNIACCO.

  • My monthly rent was 600 pounds, so it is all kitchen restroom and bedroom included in a same room ( STUDIO APARTMENT)

  • Main challenges are finding a part time job, because there are many indians in the UK

  • My accommodation is 3 miles from university, there are buses regularly to uni

There are a lot of freshers’ events happening for students. Along with that, the University also has other events and regular job fairs going on so I would say that it's a very good environment for students.

The job prospects after the course are wide as you can either go for a PhD or work in the space industry. The MSc. project plays a huge role in it and as I still haven't started my project I won't be able to provide any details about it but I feel the course is a good stepping stone for anyone who wants to enter the space industry.

  • The main campus is adjacent to Victoria Park, followed by the Fielding Johnson Building, Astley Clarke Building, Engineering Building, Attenborough Tower, Percy Gee Building, and David Wilson Library. Facilities like a library, sports court, study spaces, group study rooms etc are available.
  • On campus there is O2 Academy which is a music venue, so many events take place in it occasionally, and also so many cultural festivities go on accordingly. There is so much service available for extracurricular activities many of them supported by the student union, and they conduct and handle cultural events, students/ community organizations, some of them are paid and some are not.

  • There are so many options to book accommodation, using online private portals, university portals, and agencies. I haven't booked any accommodation as I did reside at my friend's flat. The monthly rent was about £450 to £600, and basic amenities and facilities like fob access, security, and usual services will be available anywhere, especially in accommodation.
The main challenge we encounter while finding accommodation is the queue it will have, especially for university accommodation, people start pre-booking 5 to 6 months prior to their intake and that is how it works, and for people who have no problem with accommodation budget they can easily book but most of the people miss this due to lack of information, if we secure university accommodation it is the best thing I would say, I regret not taking university accommodation.
My accommodation was so far from the university which is not recommended, as I used to stay 50 miles away which is not even allowed by the university and I did not know that, later on moved close to university then I was just 3mi away from uni, most of the Indians stay in city center of Leicester

Campus accommodation, I live in a student village a 40-minute walk from campus. I live in a house that houses eight people. We are self-catered and have a sizeable shared kitchen with plenty of fridge and cupboard space.

Leicester had good academics and was geographically situated well. It's kind of central so I can travel easily. I saw it was a top-ranked university. Also, there were only about four other options through my home universities study abroad program.
