Course Curriculum

10

  • This is not much of core subject, but we should study hard , in order to succeed, this course is a mixture of practical and theoretical
  • Positives are widened job opportunities , negatives are more competition
  • It will 3 days in a week and upto two classes a day, about 2hrs each
  • If there are 200 people in my class, around 150 would be indian
  • As i mentioned above around 80% of the people are indians in class, and in my university too indian people are found

Admission Experience

  • I’ve applied only for university of leicester , as it is a perfect place to pursue my degree of engineering management, so this place is located centrally in the UK, so easy for travel and other uses, so i never went to any other options , rather than this university, other university i had in my mind was Coventry University as i had my friends there.
  • the admission process was easy, the main reason again is very near to london , more indians present, so we can try to get accommodations easily with our people, getting Indian food is easy.
  • eligibility criteria for me was , good score in english in 10th and 12th, else it would have been IELTS,
  • Overall, everything went smoothly from getting admitted to getting graduated.
  • ive applied for September intake, as mentioned by my people. so this is where majority of students apply and universities also offer more courses
  • The admission process did not take longer than 3 months, if we have all the documents ready, then we are all good to go.
  • for acceptance from uni, it takes around 10 days for response . the admission process goes smooth, if we have good counsellor for abroad education

Faculty

10

  • Faculties are very less , there are only 4 subjects in a semester, one for lecture and other one for seminar

  • Teaching methods are very properly planned , they do always prepare on what to teach in this particular lecture, it is very informative, the lectures are so good.

  • Usually faculty people suggest websites , where we can find part time jobs

Campus Life

8

  • My college has 2 main campus, the Brookefield campus .

  • My university has all the facilities we can imagine, so there are no doubts in this

  • There will be many clubs present in the university , as i came back to india and its been a year, i cant remember the events

  • I was mainly concentrating on my part time job and uni, i never had any time

Part Time Jobs

  • On universities the part time jobs are based on restaurants and small stalls present inside the uni

  • Pay range would be only for 20 hrs a week, around 10 - 11 pounds a hour

  • There are warehouse operative works,  restaurants, pizza delivery , driving, taxi, etc

  • Maximum amount for a student which it is allowed is 20 hrs a week

  • From past three years it is very difficult to get a part time job, as there is an increased flow of students abroad.

  • One students earn around 10 - 11 pounds an hour and it is very very difficult these days to find a proper part time jobs, because of too much people flowing inside the country and very limited roles, usually we apply through some agencies or by reference or websites, these three are very popular source of applying a part time job. students generally don't get it very early, it takes time

Placement

8

  •  Students after completing their education, apply  for jobs . but there is too much competition in recent years, for a fresher it takes a long time. if we have some experience we can definitely try getting in 6 months

  • Average salary would be around 1000 - 1500 pounds a month

  • Students find jobs in campus recruitment, internships, networking, or online job portals

Accommodation

Off Campus
8

  • I've found my accommodation on online website called UNIACCO.

  • My monthly rent was 600 pounds, so it is all kitchen restroom and bedroom included in a same room ( STUDIO APARTMENT)

  • Main challenges are finding a part time job, because there are many indians in the UK

  • My accommodation is 3 miles from university, there are buses regularly to uni

Exams

  • For myself there is no entrance exam, as I mentioned in previous questions.

     documents are
    1. all marksheets
    2. SOP
    3. LOR
    4. passport
    5.work experience letters
    6. address proofs
    7.resume

  • Yes, there will be a formal interview for all students, just to basically double check all documents are correct and some formal questions, it will conducted by a university people via video call

Fees

  • The fees structure was split into 2 parts, half before moving to UK, and half after the first semester. There is a 30, 70 option too, and the mode of payment usually involves a currency change at first, but it is very convenient on the second semester when we pay.
  • Regarding accommodation and expenses, it is very costly when compared to India, but when we get any part time jobs , they can be managed.

Scholarship

  • I had received a scholarship, but is  directly reduced from my college fees ( around 4 lacs), so basically if we have  good scores in schools and college, it would apply directly.

  • Some of my batchmates received it, some didn't, so basically it all depends on our scores in our earlier academics

  • On average atleast 40% students will receive scholarship, as of my knowledge
