  • BA programme introduces you to a broad range of types and periods of literature, with a huge variety of different areas to pursue, from medieval literature to twenty-first-century digital literary culture. These include unparalleled resources for the study of Shakespeare, through our world-leading Shakespeare Institute and five-year (2015 – 2020) collaboration with the Royal Shakespeare Company.
  • Student will be given a foundation in all main genres of creative writing: poetry, prose, drama and media writing. Alongside this, student will explore the professional aspects of contemporary writing and editing and will be supported in finding own ‘voice’. 

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

  • Students must have a minimum GPA of 4.0
  • 6,6,5 at Higher Level to include Mathematics with a minimum of 32 points overall. 
  • A level Mathematics and at least one Physical Science. Students must also pass the practical element of any reformed science A levels which include Biology, Chemistry, and Physics taught from 2015, and typical offer AAB for the opted course.

Work Experience Eligibility:

  • Work Experience not required.
Indian Student Eligibility:
  • Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet following eligibility criteria:
    • Indian Standard XII will be considered for entry to the first year of our undergraduate degree programs. 
      • A*AA = 90% ISC, CBSE, Maharashtra or 85% West Bengal or 95% Other State boards
      • AAA = 85% ISC, CBSE, Maharashtra or 80% West Bengal or 90% Other State boards
      • AAB = 80% ISC, CBSE, Maharashtra or 75% West Bengal or 85% Other State boards
      • ABB/BBB = 75% ISC, CBSE, Maharashtra, and West Bengal or 80% Other State boards
    • Where a program requires a specific A-level subject grade please refer to the guidance below for the Indian Standard XII equivalent.
      • A* = 90% ISC, CBSE, Maharashtra or 85% West Bengal or 95% Other State boards
      • A = 85% ISC, CBSE, Maharashtra or 80% West Bengal or 90% Other State boards

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/PTE any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
