- The University ranking and the fact that it was a research intensive university and is a part of the Russel group. The course and the modules were of interest to me. Apart from this I also researched about the city and found it to be a student city.

Course Curriculum
I had the experience of hands- on practical work in the lab and dissertation helped in exploring areas of research and necessary techniques.
Faculty
The faculty were really helpful and always willing to help you. It was a pleasure being taught by the professors at the University of Leeds.
Campus Life
There are a lot of extracurricular activities to get involved in giving you the opportunity to explore different cultures, meet new people etc. it’s a very lively campus with lots of events planned throughout the year.
Placement
It varies from person to person and also dependent on the time during which your are applying. Currently with the recession period, it has been harder for international students to secure a full time job.
Accommodation
The fee was around 7500 GBP. It provided great facilities like a reception, great security and en-suite rooms with shared kitchen. There were trips and events hosted by the residence halls as well to give everyone a chance to meet new people at the accommodation.
Exams
My overall percentage in undergrad - 3.61/4, IELTS - 8.5. Did not have any other requirements. 2 academic references were required. SoP - mention your interest in the course you are applying for, why do you choose this particular university and talk about your achievements and extracurriculars. CV is optional only if it’s a requirement by the respective universities. No, I did not have any interviews or tests.
