- Quality of education: The coursework is very detailed and is up to date to the current industry trends.
- Industry projects: The projects in the course work are linked with actual global companies like Volvo, Polestar, Powercell etc.
- Friendly Teachers : Almost all the teachers in the university are very friendly and encourage students to ask doubts and spark discussions
Dislikes
- The university does not have enough sports facilities. They only have a single indoor hall for pretty much everything.
- The cost of living in the Gothenburg city is relatively high when compared to other European cities. Monthly expense can go up to 10,000 SEK for student living in a 20 m2 apartment with attached bathroom and shared kitchen. Food in restaurants is also very expensive, most of the students actually cook everyday to keep expenses in control.
- Part Time jobs mostly need Swedish language. Students not knowing the language end up doing part time jobs of food delivery agents which is okay in summers but can be very challenging in the harsh Swedish winters.
Placement
- The placements of my batch were not good as the global market was hit and job markets all over the worlds were affected by it. Generally the placements for Chalmers are good. But again, as there is no assistance from the university, it is completely on the student of how they secure the job interviews.
- There are however some job fair hosted by the university, but they are just an opportunity to connect with people which usually is not very effective. Major companies that hire for my course are Volvo Group, Volvo cars, Scania etc.
- There is no accommodation on campus , however the university has some tie ups with large housing forms, they provide relatively affordable rooms. Monthly rent can be 4000 SEK for housing consisting of shared bathroom and kitchen, room having attached bathroom and shared kitchen can range from 5500 -7000 SEK.
- A studio apartment consisting attached bathroom and kitchen can be 6500-8000 SEK. The distance from the university differs property to property some student housings are near and some can be very far from university (20 mins by public transport).

Dislikes
- Heavy Workload - Some study period were intensive, making work-life balance challenging.
- High Competition for Thesis Opportunities - Because the world is behind AI, there was a lot of competition from all the programs trying to obtain a thesis opportunity in AI domain. Since companies in Sweden value the domain knowledge, it became difficult for core AI and data sciences students like myself to find best opportunities.
- Limited Course Availability - During a few study periods, there were limited space available to have a efficient study plan
Placement

Many students secure roles in areas such as data science, machine learning engineering, data engineering, AI research, software development, and cloud engineering. Companies like Volvo Group, Ericsson, SKF, Zenseact, AstraZeneca, and several others actively hire from the program.

- Students find jobs through multiple channels such as - Internships or thesis projects that convert into full-time roles, networking through Chalmers' strong industry partnerships, Career fairs and company events hosted by the university, Online job portals such as LinkedIn and Glassdoor, referrals from professors, alumni, and industry contacts.
- Chalmers University has ties with student housing companies like SGS. So, for international students, it makes it easier to fins accommodations.
- Otherwise, there is also a possiblity to find through facebook and apps like Blocket. The monthly rent ranges between 4000-6000 SEK per month.

- I felt some courses were too easy and were not at the level for masters.
- Some classes were overcrowded and the teaching was not engaging
- There are some clubs to join but most require Swedish
Placement
- I would say about 75% secured a job 6 months after graduating. The average salary is 37000 SEK per month. LinkedIn is the best way to find a job.
- Also, many of us do internships and theses where we interact with different companies and employers and we network; these contacts play a big role in getting a job. VOLVO, SCANIA, Aurobay and many other Consultancies are the main way my friends got jobs.
- I found my accommodation with the help of the company SGS in collaboration with the University. They gave us multiple options and we could choose based on different factors such as cost, sharing or not, and distance from the university.
- The monthly rent was 3850 SEK and it was a 2-year contract. It had a bedroom with a bathroom attached but the kitchen was shared between 6 other people.
- The accommodation was just 1.2 Km from the college campus. I stayed in a place called OLOF and it was delightful and recommend it to everyone.

- There is one site sgs studentbostader. I applied through it and I got a room with a kitchen and bathroom. My apartment lease is for 2 years and then I have to change it and once you register at this site. Then you queue points and based on those points you get housing again.
- My apartment is 1 km away from the university. Some people are living away as well. My rent is 4600 SEK. For sure the upcoming students should apply for these websites or contact indian people you will find something for sure. There are WhatsApp groups for indian people as well

Placement
I have heard mostly good about students that did well in their studies and gained the required skills to match industry requirements. Some master's students do find it tough to get a master's thesis but that's because of the competition. Many global companies such as Ericsson, Volvo, Spotify, and IKEA have their offices in Gothenburg and therefore there are nice opportunities.
I chose Chalmers University because of my advisor. For a Ph.D., more than the university an alignment with your advisor is necessary and I felt a great connection with my prospective advisor, the university did not have a language barrier for most courses and that helped me with choosing it. Apart from my advisor, my prospective research group was also very strong.
