Remarks

Positive is good faculty which is very supportive and helpful towards the students. Negatives are poor infrastructure and very few number of patients for a medical college. Infrastructure is quite robust but incompetent and incomplete.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

My course curriculum is too hectic and it consists studying both Ayurvedic and allopathic stream. Exam is being conducted per year under RGUHS. The duration of the course is five and a Half years including internship.

Placement Experience

3

I would say it all depends on your practice and patient review. The career is upto you and how you turn it out to be successful. My college has had proper internship before without any stipends but that has been discontinued for the purpose of renovation. Now the internship procedure has been started again without any stipends.

College Events

3

Fresher's party, Sports day events, Farewell party, Independence day, Republic day, Karnataka rajyotsava, Gandhi jayanti, Ambedkar jayanti. Are the few celebrations done on our college with funds collected from students itself.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It's feasible for the students from state government entrance and it has to be paid per annum. My college is quite strict with fee pattern as they go on imposing fines on you and they'll start blackmailing you as they'll not late you take exams.

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven't availed any scholarships but there are many scholarships available based on merit and there are also scholarships available based on the caste and income category offered by government based on the reservation pattern.

Campus Life

3.5

We don't have a sports complex as such and there's no any other facility for to play sports. We don't have any facility for indoor games even. We used to conduct sports day on a private ground on rent.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

I haven't opted for hostel as I used to commute daily from home as it's just an hour journey from my home. As I have seen the hostel it's not as good. It serves pathetic food and the facilities provided aren't that good. The rooms are not maintained properly.

Alumni/Alumna

My seniors were very helpful until they were in college. They used to help us go through the syllabus and exam patterns. They helped us get out of evil management as they were completely ready to snatch money from us citing attendance shortage. They were helpful in Providing us with the notes and all.

Admission

I got selected through state entrance exam and non interactive counseling. Then had to go through document verification and then pay the fees and get an admission letter and present the same to the college, then go with the formalities of the college.

Faculty

4

The faculty of my college is very good and well versed. They are helpful but management and administration isn't that good. They don't care much about the student welfare. We've had huge support from our faculty and they're our motivation.

After 3 rd year students become eligible for intership . The percentage of getting intership is 70 percent. Highest package is of 12 to 15 lakh per year and lowest is 6 lakh . My plans after getting the degree is to open up the clinic in my hometown and do the service in government hospital.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The approch of ayurveda to patient is subjective as it focuses on each body type rather than general approach for disease. The curriculum for us is RS7 which is designed in such a way that not only theritical aspects will be clear but also we learn about practical approach to the patient as well. As if now the revised syllabus is very much improved it's difficult to suggest any changes now . The exams are very well planned
