Remarks

Positive is that we are a happy batch as we spent 5 years of our lives together and most of the time holidays and vacation were a good boost for us. Faculty was very supportive. Negative point of college is Management people are very rude and they don't have proper sense to speak.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

We have 4 and half years course and one year of compulsory internship. We're supposed to take 4 exams and if you do get failed you have to complete the degree within 8 years duration from the admission. Laboratory and clinicals will be there.

Placement Experience

2.5

That all depends on our personal capability because a doctor cannot be placed like an engineer or any other graduate. We're supposed to go through rigorous training and acquire practical skills for to being a practitioner.

College Events

3.5

Fresher's party each year as a welcome to fresher's who join the college. Sports day every year. Farewell parties to the outgoing batches. Medical camps once in a while. Tour by batchmates almost every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible for those who come from government quota by clearing the entrance exams. The management quota is on little higher side and it depends on what the college president would ask at the moment. You've to pay separately for the examinations each year as paper count.

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven't received any scholarships and college doesn't offer any scholarships or scholarship programmes. Anything has to be through the government and that is based on the merit you secured in previous exams. There are many banks which provide education loan and I don't have much idea about it.

Campus Life

3

We have a healthy gender ratio, more girls than boys. We used to conduct many seminars and trips. There's no such thing In my college as religious hate and we used to exist very harmonically. There used to be a kind of good vibes in my class and we all were a kind of family.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

No, I was a day scholar. Shimoga has good number of PGs which are affordable and reliable. Conveyance is by public transport or private vehicles or else you can rent good houses nearby college which are very reasonable and are in good neighbourhood.

Alumni/Alumna

I don't have access to alumni network but I do know some seniors who were very helpful from the beginning be it making us understand the curriculum or the college or management. They always had our back.

Admission

I've been selected through KCET via a non interactive counselling round and thereafter paying the required fees to the government and then taking the slip to college and getting the final admission done over there and any feed towards the college to be paid there itself.

Faculty

3.5

We had very good faculty when we were in the first Prof year and then due to some management and administrative issues between faculty and management many lecturers started to leave the college and it was very hard for us to cope with the syllabus and were asked to do fake clinical works and without any proper class and management is very rude towards faculty and pupil. At present college just has 5 to 7 full time faculty.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The approch of ayurveda to patient is subjective as it focuses on each body type rather than general approach for disease. The curriculum for us is RS7 which is designed in such a way that not only theritical aspects will be clear but also we learn about practical approach to the patient as well. As if now the revised syllabus is very much improved it's difficult to suggest any changes now . The exams are very well planned

Remarks:

Uhmm. Positive aspects of the college is that there is a lot of scope in the internship where there is a large spectrum of cases where one gets to learn and the negative aspect being the college resides in between the city which is quite disturbing as Bangalore traffic is insane and the campus is kinda small.
