Remarks

Negative : The patient income to OPD defines how well the college runs. With that regards, the college doesn't have that much inpatients marking it's poor running. As per the academics is concerned, there are no strict implications. There are no weekly tests and only 3 internals are conducted per academic year (other colleges conduct a minimum of 5). The clinical postings are so poor. They don't really train you to deal a patient when presented to u during the job. Positive : the same is maybe the positive as there are very less inpatients, we get time to prepare for our entrance exams during our internship period

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Course is a bit long like five and a half years when compared to other professional courses. The Exam structure is written theory - based for theory exams n for practicals, history taking and diagnosis also included

Placement Experience

2

Since this is medical college, there is a mandatory internship to be done to get a license for practicing as MBBS graduate. They assure to give you a stipend during the joining of the college but they don't give any. And we couldn't ask them, as they got the powers to play with

College Events

4

Pongal celebrations clubbed with culturals Fresher's day, Farewell day, Only these three are celebrated regularly and nothing else.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Usually private medical colleges fee are much higher when compared to other professional colleges. The fee which this college takes is average as how the other colleges collect. But the college doesn't provide the facilities worth the fee.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

Nothing. seriously nothing. There's no such facilities in this college. Even if u r a gold medalist or topper in any subject , they don't provide any scholarships or loan facilities or any fee deduction. They just give the toppers ,a small ( trophy) during the culturals.

Campus Life

3

Yes, the extracurricular activities are good. There are activities like cricket, football, volleyball, athletics, basket ball for both boys and girls where you could play inter college events or intra college events

Alumni/Alumna

Yes. Seniors are very helpful. First they rag a little bit for their fun and eventually become close with juniors. They share the important questions for the university exam and suggest books which we should follow.

Admission

I got my medical college seat in Sri Lakshmi Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences by mop up counseling allotment based on my National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) acquired marks during the academic year 2017-18

Faculty

3

Every professors are eminent enough with knowledge but only half of them r teaching interactively and making real efforts to make us understand the concepts clearly. Most of them are so friendly and easy to approach.

Course Curriculum Overview:

mbbs has always been my dream job, my dad is a doctor and I like how people respect him, and consider him in society so basically i never had an option other than mbbs in my life. The curriculum hopefully prepares me well for the real world. They do have skills lab classes where they teach resuscitation or suturing which is helpful in the real life, so hopefully it works out at the end.

Remarks:

On an estimate, there is sufficient guarantee of the pros outweighing the cons. The cons can be briefed as lack of maintenance of gymnasium machines, lack of tasty food and the introduction of mandatory uniforms. No bad remarks to say.
