SVERI's college of engineering

College is too strict and lot of fine you have to pay for lot of mistakes. Most of focus is on marks.Less importance is given to extra curricular activities and practical. The positive things are it is a good college for poor students. Everything is provided ready in your hand. The college timing is more.

There are 120 seats for computer engineering. All staff have completed their ME and some of them have phd also. The exam is taken in very strict environment. No misbehaving is allowed. All students there has good reviews about this.

Our college is very strict about it's rules and so called culture. As per college culture events are like pickle in dinner or lunch and main course is study. So its not satisfied about cultural events. But technical events are taken very seriously. They have best budget for this. Events organised are Olympus , technohunt , spirit , kshitij and each department has seprate one.

The fee structure is feasible. Actually most of students are from village. There are other scholarship options. There is scholarship of 10000 per year for topper students. The earn and learn scheme is there for hostelite poor students.

There are lot of scholarship provided by SVERI college. First three topper of each class get 10000 per year and each subject topper get 1000 per subject. Besides earn and learn scheme is there through which hostel and mess fees of poor students are paid by college.

Extra curricular activities are not taken that much seriously. Most of focus is given on study. But still every year culture programs are arranged. Sports activities are also organised department wise and inter-college. Lab facility is as per AICTE rule but not enough for extra things. Everyday. Yoga session and proctor is conducted.

I have not opted for hostel but my friends suggestions are there. As per them hostel fees are feasible which is rs18000 and mess fee is 1200 per month. There are lots of rooms are available. Special efforts are taken for hostel students like they have night studies, special test series , etc. But food quality is not good. Rooms are also not clean. Common bathroom and toilet are there. Very strict rules are there specially for girls. Girls hostel is considered most safe hostel in district.

Alumni lecture and and function are arranged each year. Senior student always suggest to go to other colleges. But alumni have belief that you can do better here also. No other discussion are there with all. Every one is tired of college timing.

For first year engineering you should have more than 70 percent. And for direct second year your marks should be above 80 percent. As per process registration is done intially with all required documents. Then option form is there and 3 or 4 cap rounds are there. The management quota is also available for first year engineering.

The best thing of faculty is evryone gives respect to students and behave like students are god.The College faculty is highly qualified and some of them have doctorate also.So no issues regarding to knowledge. Everyone is bounded by college rules and they are passionate about teaching. We have R and D center here and faculty share their experiences about that. All faculty members are very helpful.
