About my college

Well equipped costly college. SRM has a lot of scope to become a true scholar. But it is one of the most chilled college. One can enjoy a lot. No one will question. Most of the people distract easily to negatives only. So, it depends on the individual.

When I joined the institute in 2017, we followed the 2015 year cirriculum which is quite old to the present days technology and also the worst. But in 2018 the whole cirriculum was changed and is very good now

SRM brings the highest number of companies in every academic year, but the average package will stick between 3-4 lakhs. Getting a core job is very very difficult. 95% of students who are placed will be in IT Domain only irrespective of their core domain

Milan and Aarush are the two fests celebrated in our college. Aarush is a technical cum cultural fest whereas Milan is completely cultural fest which are held in September and March of every year with a duration of 4 days. Famous celebraties from various industries will come for these fests every year to entertain students. In Aarush, they conduct lot of tech competitions and Workshops with lakhs of prize money for the winners.

It is one of the most expensive colleges in India. Fee will 2.5lk or 3.5lk based on your SRM-JEE score. Anyway there will be scholarships also but very few people will get it every year. Even hostel will cost more than 1 lakh every year for single student.

Top 10 students of each department of whole SRM will get SCHOLARSHIP irrespective their annual income. People with annual income less than 1 lakh and CGPA greater than 8 will be awarded a scholarship of ?62,000/- every year. It can be renewed every year when the student meets the required CGPA criteria

SRM has lot of grounds. Two huge cricket/football/hockey gorunds, few ball batminton courts, few volleyball courts, few basket ball courts, and lot of indoor games are available. SRM spend lot of money on labs. All the equipments for doing the experiments will be available 24/7. Even costlier lab equipments for Nan Science, Genetic students are available.

Alumni seminars/talks will be going every month in various seminar halls and interested people will go and will find helpful sometimes. They give continuous seminars about their experiences and what to do and what not and many more.

After writing SRM-JEE entrance exam, I was called for counselling. At the counselling I was explained in detail about the seats available and the corresponding fee for the same for my rank and I was asked to select one.

Few faculties are very good in all aspects, as well as there are few who are worst such that a lab assistant is far better than them. But we will have faculty selection option where we can select the best ones, but the selection should be done through online only. So best faculties will be booked in no time.
