Remarks
Technologically not advanced in terms of BIM for Civil, Mech, Electrical. Digitally, should increase a lot of areas. A bigger part of built environment sector holds on BIM. Students should be given a lot of exposure and industrial training.
Course Curriculum Overview
Totally good. Exam structure is healthy. Monthly CIAs and semester holidays for exam preparation does really good. The split up of marks like 50 for semester and 50 on CIA is cool and saves a lot of times.
Placement Experience
Very good. They provide internships. But, quite costly. They have some time ups, I think. Even, you can do from your side if abides to college norms. Not sure about the stipend. but, PhD students should be getting
College Events
Daksh - technical symposium., One of the event attracts a lot of sponsors and so other colleges as the prize money are huge Kuruksastra - cultural Fest! And, SASTRA is King in that Shakshama - mech symposium. Hinges - civil tech symposium
Fee Structure And Facilities
Feasible for the quality they provide. It was 40,000 for me by 2012. But by 2016 it was more than 50,000 I believe. Educational loan was arranged. So, no issue with arranging funds. That helps. CUB was providing that.
Fees and Financial Aid
Comparitively too many. Dean's merit list of 1-2% in one category and 3-10% in another category. They have tie up with CUB, IOB for arranging spot loans with tenure of 15 years. So, that makes even low middle class to afford.
Campus Life
Labs are totally good. Activities are very good. You have a lot of freedom to spend time on curricular activities. Daksh symposium helps there. Sports - basket ball, volley ball cricket are good. Kabaddi should be developed.
Hostel Facilities
Good. Culture is okay. Roll call time is around 9. Only that part beeps. Else, you can play even at 2am. You can chitchat. Bathroom facilities could be improved. Leaves are limited. So, you gotta overcome home sick.
Alumni/Alumna
Yeah. Zoho and Freshdesk will be of much help. Literary clubs helps develops English and earns a job in above companies. TCS is always there. Then IBM. Now, CUB has also joined the club in offering bulk jobs.
Admission
Higher secondary marks and jee mains marks should qualify. Trichy and tanjavur has separate quota. I got with 93%. So, I had civil. I took. For cse, it should have been 94%%+ by my time. So, I only had to take my second choice.
Faculty
Most of them are masters holders and pushed to PhD. So, studious and research oriented people are around. This pulls the students in line to at least cope up with their work. So, they even push to do paper publication.
