MY COLLEGE - A REVIEW

Some faculties are not good. They demotivate students in many ways. Also college authorities show less interest for sports improvement. Hostel mess food is average, so is the canteen. Infrastructure is not so good.

Course curriculum is purely as per the AICTE regulations. The B.Tech. courses are of 4 year having 2 semesters in each year. Each semester also has 2 internals. There will be theory and practical papers in almost every paper. Class attendance should be minimum 75% to appear the semester.

As this is the best government college in Odisha, there are good no. of placements every year. Almost each student get placed in at least one company with an average salary. Regarding internship, the college itself take students to industrial tours. Students can personally apply for internship at any company through the college.

There are mainly three events celebrated every year ; namely 1.XTASY : Annual socio-cultural fest, 2.PERCEPTION : Annual tech fest, 3. ENGINEER'S CUP : Annual sports meet Beside these branch-wise various events are also organised to boost our extra curricular activities.

Per semester you have to pay around 25000. If you stay in hostel then you have to pay extra 10000 per semester as hostel accommodation fee and mesh fee. During admission you have to pay a security deposit of 5000 (refundable) along with the admission fee in DEMAND DRAFT.

The college provides scholarship for meritorious students (CET MERIT SCHOLARSHIP), to the top 10% students of each department. The selection is based on the semester performance. Besides that, one student can apply for various govt. and private scholarships through the college.

Labs are well equiped with experienced assistants. Certainly there is no emphasis on extracurricular activities and sports from the college authorities. Students themselves pay attention to sports and other activities.

Hostel are very close to the academic building and cafeteria. It has 24*7 wifi connectivity, water and electric supply. It is well maintained. Each room is for 2 student. The canteen is on the ground floor, there you can have your meal, twice a day (lunch at 1pm and dinner at 9.30 pm)

Alumni network is working fabulously for the developement of the organisation. There is at least an annual alumni meet every year. Seniors are also very friendly. The entire campus is ragging free. Both seniors and juniors work together during club activities and any events.

I got admission in CET through JEE MAIN. That's the one way to get admission in this college. You should have a valid JEE MAIN rank and based on your merit you will be selected. Then you have attend the counselling process in which all your required documents will be verified. Also you have to pay the counselling fee as well as the course fee. If you want to take accomodation facility then you have to apply for hostel also at the time of counselling.

Faculties are very experienced. They cover all your syllabus within stipulated time, also clear major doubts. They are very friendly and punctual. During lab periods, they also remain present and solve all our issues.
