- There was no A/C facilities in my class even during the major heat days of june or july.
- The attendance was an issue. Sometimes the professor would not upload the attendance on time.
- Too much crowd in the campus. as there are many courses here.
Course Curriculum Overview
I always wanted to build my carrer in technology and this is the reason i opted for btech cse. The curriculum has helped me in getting my dream job, prepared me for interviews, and helped me gain many skills which i now use in my day to day job role.
Internships Opportunities
During my batch year, there were no internship opportunities. There were no companies that visited college to provide any internship roles. We had to accquire internships offcampus through linkedin or naukri. Getting internship or full time job were a challenge in 2024.
Placement Experience
The placemnts were good for batches before 2022. During my batch year i.e 2024, there was a sudden dip in placements, not everyone could get placed, and the college didn't try to help those students get placed. There were very few companies that visited during my batch. Very few Tech companies visited and mostly sales companies visited.
Fees and Financial Aid
The detailed fee structure yearly was 1,10,000 for the bachelors in coputer science and engineering course. This was the fee when i joined in 2020 and the fees were same throughout the 4 year course. The option for scholarship is available, either government/ state education scholarship or any private organisation based scholarship.
Campus Life
The campus life was very chill, the campus is very lively, there are alot of people to chill with and not get bored. Since my course was in tech , there were many clubs available for us to upskill our skills. I myself was a president of my tech club.
Admission
I chose this college on the basis of their placement records which were pretty decent when i researched about this college, plus the location of this college was favorable to me. And among other colleges around this, i found GNIOT best suited according to me. The admission process in this college is through appearing for AKTU exam and once you clear the exam you can choose the college accordingly. Even jee mains is exceptable.
Faculty
Some of our faculty members were very knowledgable and supportive, but there were few faculty memebers who were not experienced to teach on the college level. There were 8 semesters and in each semester we had an internal paper of 100 marks of each subject and the practical exams too, the external exam constituted of 100 marks paper in which we were alloted centers in different colleges. The marking scheme was pretty normal, marks were given according to the score assigned for each questions.
Night Life
The night life offered is quite good, the college has its own gym, canteens which are open till midnight and the library which is accessible till 7pm. There is sports ground where we can sit or play any sports.
