It is the best engineering college in Jharkhand and Bihar. Way to college is not so good. There is a lack of quantity and quality of teachers. Very less no. Of companies visited. It has good academics.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum of our college is very old till when it was under KOLHAN UNIVERSITY but now it comes under JUT(Jharkhand University of Technology). There are many papers that are of no much use but placed in our course curriculum. B.tech is a four years program in which there are 8 semesters exams. And two internal exams.
Placement Experience
Internships are also provided by the college or many students do off campus internship an do lots of certified projects in their own area of interests under their branch. Workshops are also conducted in the college campus for different branches after every 3-4 months.
College Events
There are many events which are celebrated every year. Some of them are: frolic, provenance, NSS swatch Abhiyan, Rojgar Mela, blood donation camp, health check ups.frolic is the annual sports event. Provenance is tech and coldest.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The Fee Structure is feasible. It is not so much expensive. But there is a demerit that they sometimes cut the same fees two times and they don't correct it until told. The fees for one year is 134000 including tuition and hostel fees.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are many types of scholarship available here such as university's topper, college topper, branch topper, e-Kalyan, national scholarship. I had availed good scorer scholarship twice. Loan facility is also available here.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are of medium quality. Hostel infrastructure is of good quality. There are 24 hours electricity and water supply. Medium quality rooms with three seaters. There is an open natural environment.
Alumni/Alumna
It has a good alumni network and helpful senior students .senior students help junior in their hostel apart from college by giving books, notes, previous year questions, clearing doubts. alumni help freshers to enter into the professional world and they guide them in all aspects in and off the campus.
Admission
Since the college comes under JHARKHAND state so the students must have to qualify the State Examination of Jharkhand named JCECEB (Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board), conducted by Govt. of Jharkhand. Then your GML/CML merit list or simply the rank list(Result) is announced by the JCECEB Board and you are called for counselling. And according to your GML rank you got your respective colleges according to your rank.
Faculty
There is a lack of good quality of teachers. And also the number of teachers are very low . Teachers join and leave college. Some teachers serve in college and also apart from it. Some teachers joins the college as their own practice and after a year or before they leave the college in between our semester or before and thats why we the students have to suffer a lot in completing our syllabus in a proper way.
