Remarks

The college has a good environment for a student who is eager to learn things. Recently, the principal has changed and he has ensured certain preemptive countermeasures to ensure good attendance and teaching quality. The college is based in the middle of the big city Surat so, if required the students can easily get industrial exposure.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum is being revised in the college. Previously there were only one internal exams at the college level and the final was the semester exam or what is more popularly known as University exams but from this year onwards there are 3 internal exams which count for the internal grading of each student.

Placement Experience

0.5

Training & Placement Cell of the college is not very effective as there have been very placements in the college for the past few years, none that I can remember, definitely not campus selections. Very few comapanies visit the campus for placements and this is the one thing that the college need to work more efficiently upon because most of students after becoming graduates are opting for fields other than engineering because they haven't got any placements.

College Events

3.5

There is the sports week, then there are cultural and youth festivals at the college, interzonal, university, state and national levels. These are celebrated with passion more than just the curriculum. The students manage the events preparation among themselves. Since, GTU has made mandatory in participation in various activities and techfests to gain 100 mandatory points in the course of 4 years, the participation in such events are enhanced.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible it is, infact it is marginal as of being a government funded college. It runs on a very low fees for students and still offers high class facilities nowhere comparable to the fees. In addition there are many Tuition Fee Wavier Programs also available and many scholarships are available at the college as well as university level.

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven't availed any but there are certain scholarships offered to the lower cast students, OBC and SC/ST which is the MYSY and CMSS scholarship and the students from foreign countries avail scholarships for their living expense from the university.

Campus Life

2

Labs are fine but lack eqipments and there is no separate ground for any sports though a volleyball court has been made in the college premises recently but the budget alloted to sports or the Gymkhana is utilised in organizing the sports events throughout the year and providing sport equipment to students for personal training.

Hostel Facilities

1.5

Hostel is based in the college premises only and has its separate campus for girls and boys. It also has a separate hostel for diploma students with adequate accommodation facility, mess service and other basic amenities like TV room, sports room, etc.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students are very helpful. There is no question of ragging as the anti ragging cell and aman movement ensures that.In addition to that there is a committee for the passed out students of the college and they are also invited in college festivals and annual days.

Admission

I got admission on the basis of a merit rank prepared based on the marks obtained in 12th standard and the state common engineering entrance exam named GUJCET. Previously the admission was based on Jee Mains but from 2016, it was regulated and from then onwards based on GUJCET. The admissions are governed by ACPC Gujarat and there are three rounds of seat allotment been done in the admission procedure, the third one offcourse being spot round or the offline round.

Faculty

4

Faculties are very much knowledgeful as they are well qualified. Most of them have done atleast masters in their respective fields and many have come from GPSC exam based entry for this profession which is known to be very hard exam to crack. There are many teachers who hold a PhD in different fields.

The AI and ML course is very useful and well-planned. It teaches important topics like Python, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Data Analytics. The course also includes practical work and projects that help us understand how things work in real life. Exams are taken on time and are of medium difficulty. It really helps students prepare for jobs in the AI field. Some updates with new topics and more industry training would make it even better.

Placement Experience:

At ILNU corporate placements are high rather than LAW firms as the college has a management college as well. So, placements are in large corporations like the Adani Enterprises, Reliance Industries, GSFC and others. At ILNU students getting 10-12 LPA is common but everyone doesn't have placements and therefore the averages drops to 7-8 LPA.

The placement in by branch are good enough in last year 2024 a student got package of nearly 42 lakh per year from computer branch. The average package in computer branch is nearly 10 to 12 LPA . Different companies visits our college to give placement to the students. The major companies ask about the students who have 8 + CGPA . Students become eligible from the 7th semester itself for campus placements. The collge gives perfect data of the student who are placed in different different companies.in year 2023 88% of the students were succcessufully placed in companies.Including all branches average package was of 7 LPA but for computer science students the average package was 10 to 12 LPA.In petrochemical branches the highest package was 24 LPA . and average package was nearly about 6.5LPA.The IT companies such as Google , Microsoft, Reliance , TATA visiits the college to give placement to the students of computer science. The total of 550 +students got the offer from various companies from all branches of btech and nearly 175 companies visited to the campus of the collegeAfter i get the degree the college pdeu i wil do the job for 2 to 3 years in some good companies after that my plan is to do startup means i want to start my buissness such as making an app , etc.. In PDEU the number of students getting placed are good enough even students getting good offcampus packages than oncampus becaus the student become capable of doing work or finding good work. There are some of the students not getting the jobs on campus they try offcampus and thy get the job.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to be able to code which i really liked as i opted computer science in my optional in 10th. Itm provided international certifications and good subjects which later were changed and then no international certifications were done due to covid. The basic faculty to student ration was probably 1:10 . for every 10 students there was a faculty atleast for btech because it was only 50 students in our whole batch so there were no sections. All of our teaching faculty kept changing in each semester and basically were not qualified enough as some did not even complete masters or gave a gate exam. The teaching proscess were horrible because there were no computer facility provided and it was a scam to go to college for practicals because we would just play outside. no laptops allowed and there were no wifi spots to use net in our computer labs. The exams were also a pretty bad organised mess because they did not know what to teach in recurring subjects.
