- The best thing about Nirma University is it's huge and lush green Campus. The campus is very beautiful and not less than any top colleges like IITs and NITs. And the infrastructure is also very modern and new.
- The placements here are also very good with the highest placement of CSE department being above 50LPA and the average placement being 14LPA is very impressive.
- The courses and curriculum taught here are also up to date and well planned. All the current trends and important courses are being offered and taught in the college.
Dislikes
- One thing that is of huge concern is the attendance policy here. 85% of strict attendance is required to be followed here or else you will get suspended.
- Here the girls to boys ratio is very concerning as it is 1:8. But mostly in all engineering colleges it will be this only.

Our college just made a new library which is very amazing and huge. It has 7 floors which has all kinds of books from technical to fictional. The library also has discussion rooms, study area and personal cubicles for students to study. The classrooms are well equipped with the smart board and projector. There are so many clubs and societies in our college. Technical clubs and non technical clubs both are there. Sports facilities are also very good. There is a new cricket ground made which is very huge. There is a basketball court, table tennis, chess, carrom, badminton, volleyball court etc. The fests organized in the college are also very good. Every institute in the college has their own fest organised every year and the students from other institutes are also allowed in that. The annual fest of the institute of technology is Vaudeville. Ane the annual fest of the entire Nirma University is NU-Zeal. They are held in the months of January February.
Hostel Facilities
There are 4 hostels in the college campus. They are H1, H2, H3, and H4. I stay in the H4 hostel which is for the only girls hostel. The H2 hostel is for both boys and girls. The H1 and H3 hostels are for boys only. There is a common mess which is outside the hostel and common for all the students for all 4 hostels. The rooms in the H4 hostel are very new, clean and well furnished. The rooms of H4 hostel has 2 sharing and triple sharing AC and Non AC rooms. The fees for the 3 sharing AC rooms is 1.7 lakhs yearly which includes mess fees, laundry fees and also the electricity and cleaning is included in that. The food and quality of the food provided is the mess is not less than any hotel. Everyday we are provided 3 meals which is very healthy and tasty. The menu of the mess has so many food items in it. You get to eat simple food to all the delicious food like pav bhaji, panipuri, chinese, punjabi, south indian food etc. In the breakfast fruits are also provided every day.
Admission
The eligibility of admission in the college, there are two ways through merits one is through ACPC and the other is through JEE. Through ACPC rank that is the rank generated by the combination of boards percentile and the gujcet score, for CSE department in general category the cutoff is around 400 rank. And through JEE the cut off percentile is 97. Other admission processes are the management and the gulf quota. I applied to other colleges but couldn't make it was due to the cutoff of that particular college.
Faculty
The faculties here are very kind and friendly, you can easily approach any faculty you want personally for any type of guidance or doubts. The faculty to student ratio for the theory lectures is 1:80 and for the lab sessions it is 1:20 as for the labs one class is divided into 4 batches. The marking scheme here is not relative which I think should be there. And the marking scheme is sometimes very biased because the marks you get in the exams depends on the faculty you get. Some faculties are very liberal while some are very strict. The exam systems includes one sessional exam for 50 marks written. 2 quizzes of 20 marks each and best of 2 is considered. One LPW(Lab and practical) exam for 40 marks and there is also continuous evaluation in the lab sessions for the practicals done in the lab whose weightage is 60 marks. And the last if final semester end exam for 100 marks. And also there is one assignment you have to do which is for 50 marks.
Night Life
The campus' night life is very beautiful. The view of the lights in the entire campus is worth experiencing. The best path is the N-walking area which has aesthetic yellow lights in the entire path.
