Course Curriculum Overview

4

Its very easy syllabus only u can complete the syllabus within 2 weeks if you study hard and practical knowledge will not be acquired that much you have to self help yourself for that Sem exams are also not tough and mark valuation are legit

Internships Opportunities

3

Cgwb besant nagar will provide you internship and some others like Tamilnadu mineral department , and some cement industry in salem etc ... but you need your hod approval for applying internship and you should go via him

Fees and Financial Aid

Typically they will charge 1000 as admission fee and afterwards per sem you have to pay 300 to 400 (changes upon some sem ) and they will provide nsp scholarship and state goverment scholarship also with consideration of your annual income and no others fees will be charged except field trip amount they will charge it in 2nd and 3rd year and you have to pay examination fee separately which depends on how many subject you are going to take up in that semester

Campus Life

4

Nice campus , flexible timing , you will have lot of leisure hours and you can make up lot of things ,a good new canteen was built 2 months back and there will be only one event in college by nss that too isnt that much fun and department will conduct freshers and farewell only if we request to hod

Admission

Foremost its only college in chennai which has ug geology and one of the oldest in india so i went here Admission process is based on your 12th mark Physics bio chem mathematics cutoff And caste reservation also If your cutoff is morethan 300 you will surely get placed in clg

Faculty

4

I would say senthil kumar sir is one of the best faculty he has enormous knowledge and a down to earth person who guide you if you ask anything in geology and course curriculum which i studied is old but now they have changed TANSLEY syllabus and its very futuristic subjects are there on syllabus

Night Life

3

No gym in this college and a minimal cafeteria is there . Huge campus and nearer to marina beach and food in hostel aren't that much good and shift I timing is 8.25am - 1pm for geology there is only one shift

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose bsc computer science because I'm interested in IT jobs and want become a developer. The syllabus is useful for real world learning and it covers important basics. i found subjects like c programming very helpful for understanding core concepts. the curriculum is decent but it needs more practical sessions and better lab facilities. the software and systems in the lab should also be updated. we follow a semester system, and the exams test both theory and practical knowledge. overall the course is good, but more hands on training would make it even better.
