Dislikes
- The classes and the labs needs to be still more spacious and free for students to interact with eachother
- There is a lot of student intake more then the mentioned intake so the college itself feels so crowded
- The amenities like library and sports courts needs to be expanded more as there is a lot of students coming year by year
Course Curriculum Overview
the curriculum is actually good.During the first year of my college..there was basic subjects like biology and yoga, language class which is not related to my degree(electronics and communication engineering ) but those were the compulsory language which makes us gain some general knowledge and improve our better understanding of everything.the semester exams are for three hours and there is a lot of class tests which also contributes for internal marks
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for campus placements from their third year and they are specially given placement trainings in their third year... there are more than 1000 companies which visit the campus regularly and students are given a lot of offers. As of my knowledge the highest paid package was 5400000 per annum from amazon i guess and the least was 3-4 lakhs per annum ..The average package is said to be 700000 per annum. more than 60% of the students get placed every year based on their performance in the academic years and skills. Many top companies visits for in campus placements and recruitments like amazon ,google, deloitte, zoho, meta..etc...

The fees mentioned for a course of four year btech ECE is 1100000.The first year fees of the academic year 2024-2025 was 285000 where 10000 was registration fees and 275000 was the first term tuition fees. For the upcoming three years i will be paying 275000 each year. The exam fees varies over every semester...for my first sem the exam fees was 2950 and for the second sem I paid 4750..There is also many scholarships available in SRM college for SC/ST and financial unstable families with less income and also sports scholarship. There is also rank based scholarships by the SRMJEEE exams ...For the day scholars the transportation will be applicable ..and for the hostelers there are many options of cheaper and luxury hostels for both boys and girls...In the management quota, the fees is higher bcoz as of i heard from my friends it was 5-6 lakhs and it varies according to the course ..
Campus Life
there are actually two main fests which are milan and aarush ...Milan is a cultural event happening mostly in feb or march and many famous artists and celebrities are invites as a cheif guest and there is a lot of fun and dance and music all over the campus during the milan week. And during aarush which is mostly a technical based fests where a lot of games, events, hackathons and many more exciting events takes place and it mostly takes place in the month of september or november. In libraray there is a lot of books and journakls available and many books can be rented for reading also.there is a separate section and hall for government exams and other competitive exams related books. Every classrooms are fully AC equipped and even the buses are AC. There is a lot of social and technical clubs in the campus like IEEE which is well known wide range club for benefitting students in their college life
Admission
i applied to VIT, BITS, amritha, ssn, sns and finally SRM.I got a confirmed admission from SRM and VIT .I choose SRM over VIT because of lesser fees comparatively and SRM also has a wide range of specialization options in its course. I got less rank in the VIT Entrance exam so i got andhhra and bhopal campus which was very far and not comfortable for me.The others colleges were not suggested by my friends and finally thought SRM was better. In SRM .. the admission process is smooth and it is fully online and nothing is offline. As soon as the result of the entrance exam got published .. we are given the option to take the full admission process with the questions of what course do we prefer based on the rank and thereafter the dates for everything is shown in ur respective portals given to us throughh which we gave our exams
Faculty
For every 50-60 students there is one teacher. The teacher for every subjects/course is different ..and the respective faculty come to our assigned classes in their assigned hour. There is a separate lab and theory classes..in labs we have many assisstants and scholars to help and teach us with every experiments we do.The faculties are pretty good with every students as of my knowledge and the interaction between the students and the faculties are friendly and not so rude..
Night Life
there is a food court called java which has more than 20 shops inside it and there is a also waffles, burgers and also some famous shops ..the most enjoyed treat food of everyone in the college is chicken roll which is only 50 rs anf u can frequently see the roll in many hands traeting their mouts. there is also gym, cafeteria and many other availabilities which is used by every students frequently .the hostel timings for boys is 10pm and that of girls is 7pm and there is strict wardens and watchmens who protect u and offer u utmost safety. There is also a very big food court outside the campus and nearly 3 kms away from the campus to enjoy every food . and there is alos a ot of PG facilities available for students who are not comfortable in hostels and commonly there is also many supermarkets and shops that give us almost everything we need . when we come to safety issues, nighttime feels like good and heavenly inside the campus with our friends to roam around and and explore .
