After graduation, the students can get placement opportunities in the college and other possible sites. 40% students get placement through this college. My plan after getting the degree, to do the Masters and PhD in political science.

The year wise fees is approximately 4000-5000. And there's a option of free admission... This category students have to submit their parents annual income certificate....but this year , I saw in the news that who have ration card, can get free admission without income certificate. And there's also available scholarships like ishanudoi scholarship, scholarship on the basis of sc,st, obc (who apply for ishanudoi can't apply for other caste based scholarship) Here, the facilities are very friendly and helpful. Though this college is under affiliated Gauhati University, now it is autonomous and within short period it will be university as already passed the university declaration bill by government. It has separate Exam Controller as it is autonomous now. Exams are conducted very well and the results are available within a month or rarely within two months .So now we can say it as Nowgong University instead of NOWGONG college (autonomous). It is also the best college in Nagaon district and one of the best colleges of Assam. Within North East India, it has ranked after the prestigious Cotton university. In the month of February or March, the annual college week organised by the students union , on the August or September , Freshers organised by the students union. Rather than this , various festivals like Bihu, Saraswati puja, tithi of shankardeva are organised.

In our time , we had to apply online on the College website, after that , counselling process started, where we had to choose our honours subject as well as passcourses in college and the admission was done... But now , first have to apply on Samarth portal after that the counselling process started.

Faculties are very friendly and helpful. There are two exams in a semester. One is the sessional exam (20marks) and another is the end term exam (60marks) and 20 marks for internal assessments. Internal assessments like assignments , practicals, presentations, viva etc

There's a indoor stadium, where students can practice indoor games like badminton. Also a basket ball ground, an auditorium, a seminar hall and many other halls . There are two cafeterias and one Library. There are hostels for both girls and boys
