Likes
- The faculty is very supporting and open to help
- A good campus experience, with a lot greenery.
- Great exposure with various clubs and societies
Dislikes
- The placements are majorly in the Sales department
- The gender ratio is not really good, as we have 150 students in our batch but there were only 30 girls
- The batch size is a bit big in and needs to be concise a bit
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is desgined good, as besides from the core subjects you have in your selected stream you are also taught subjects to make you job ready. I was in Electrical stream, still i have studied subjects like, Data Science, Python Programming and Project Management.
Placement Experience
Campus placements are somewhat good based on a teir-3 college. Plenty of companies come for IT roles. And this year we also noticed that companies for core branches like Mechanical and Civil were also coming on campur giving a decent job role and salary.
Fees and Financial Aid
The year-wise fees I've paid were in the first year was Rs 1,13,070, 85,820 for the next year, and 84,320 and 84,720 for the rest two years. As per scholarships, they are provided to category (SC, ST) and if you have scored well in your JEE Mains exam you will be eligible for Medhavi Scholarship by Madhya Pradsh Government.
Campus Life
Overall experience with campus life is great. In college we have various events organized by societies and clubs. Some big names in societies are ISTE and IEEE. The infrastructure if good, the campus has well equiped laboratories.
Admission
Other than this college, I have also applied for colleges like JEC, Jabalpur. But I think I have made the right choice in opting for this college. Like our college has it in our curriculum that in the very last semester that is the 8th semester students have to opt for either internship or project. So you get practical knowlegde and also become job ready
Faculty
The course structure is a great part of MITS Gwalior, as besides the core subjected students are required to choose OC and DE, these are elective course offered in college. In DE, students are required to choose from a few selected NPTEL courses. So you also get exposure from learnig from top institutes like IITs. The faluty is overall great, with good educational background and experience
Night Life
The night life is not much happening in the college as well as in the city. As Gwalior, the city being a small town with majorly tradtional families living around the campus, there is very less to enjoy and visit. But the city has great historical monuments you can visit.
