My Perspective and Experience of Smt. P. N. Doshi Women's College, Ghatkopar.

I choose the course as I it was providing education on business, marketing finance all together and not only one. The curriculum aligns perfectly being a bachelor's course. It provides an introduction and guides in direction of specialisation choosen, perfectly. I would like to suggest increasing activities related to real life for assignments and project. There is proper balance of internal and external exams helping to students to focus on exams.

In third year students become eligible for campus placements. There were many companies including reputed banks visiting college for placements and majority of around 80% or more got selected/ cleared first round and started their placement journey. From what I remember packages go around Rs.180000 - 240000 or more depending upon students skillset. My plan is to pursue MBA with business analytics specialisation in an international University in the UK and hopefully continue ahead for PHD.

I have not only completed my BMS degree from the college but also my secondary and higher secondary education. I aspire to pursue higher education doing MBA in business analytics in an International University and might continue for a PHD.

Each department have their own department club organising different activities each month with a specific focused theme to encourage students. The college fest is called "Utsav" organised in janurary-february inviting other colleges for intercollegiate competitions. College offers a well equipped library not only offering physical books but also has digital library options for students. All the classrooms are equipped with smartboards that are used for teaching purposes. College offers limited number of outdoor sport activities such as kabadi, kho-kho etc with good number of indoor activities like chess etc. Students are encouraged to pursue their passion and operate using college as a safe space to grow.

I didn't wait for answer of other colleges as this college fit perfectly and I was not planning to wait until very last. Admission process of Smt. P. N. Doshi Women's College, Ghatkopar is fair. When I took admission for BMS i visited college campus admission stall getting briefed about the course and as I decided to go for BMS, i visited again. On visit I was given a 2-3 page form to fill basic details, marks, passport size photo etc. For payment we had DD as an option. So, after filling the form and getting th DD ready from the bank, everything was submitted with documents like marksheets, caste certificate (if applying for quota) etc in college office. Now to get admission in BMS students need to give CET and clear the cut off requirements.

All of our teachers are really supportive and have different qualities that I like. Dr. Veena Shete being the department coordinator fit perfectly as our head, Amishi mam being a calm and very professional professor, Jinal mam always being humble and helping and Pooja mam being well creative have guided us well. BMS is a three year graduation course with two semesters each year including two internals as well as two external exams in each semester. In third year students have an opportunity to choose their specialisation between HR and finance, having marketing as compulsory specialisation for all. Curriculum is well aligned with the course and specialisations, giving proper brief and guiding path into the choosen specialisation.

College is currently focusing on infrastructural improvement which is really helpful towards better sports room, cafeteria, and common room for students. College does not have hostel facilities in campus yet. College is located at safest place for students providing number of places to visit outside college like cafes, McDonald's, Natural, local markets, and is close to railway station and metro too. College has beautiful entrance lobby where students like to click pictures and make reels, common room to hangout, seating areas in campus with space near dome with beautiful plants to sit around and click pictures.
