Likes

There are various scholarships provided in our departments like bhojraj, and sprj kanyashala trust.
Also, in the dome and auditorium, all functions and reward recognition are celebrated.
The faculties are great and they provide amazing benefits of studying here.

Dislikes

Canteen in ground floor is not good it is dirty and no cleanliness is maintained
The things which are not so good in college is the bathrooms which are not so clean ,taps sometimes does not work properly
Limited course variety as there is no specialization in many of courses.

College : A place to learn alot

Likes

The canteen facilities the concession that i got for my travell

Dislikes

There is no thing that is dislike but sometimes the trains noice get higher as the college lies near the station

Course Curriculum Overview:

The student ratio 50-60. The faculties are well experienced at the same time who have the doctorate in their subject. Semester exam is conducted for each 6 months. The exam is easy to crack for every student. Many Tests are frequently conducted by the faculties.

My Perspective and Experience of Smt. P. N. Doshi Women's College, Ghatkopar.

Likes

Teaching staff of college was understanding and always ready to guide their students.
Non teaching staff always being the backbone of any event or organisation, working in the background always made sure to help students
Teaching method of teachers was well balanced with theory and practical applications through projects, assignments and blackbook.

Dislikes

Few classrooms get hot really quick making it uncomfortable for students to sit in.
No playground, college does not have a proper playground for sports activities.
As college is improving it's infrastructure, I would suggest to build a small gym in college for students to give them the space to stay fit

Placement Experience:

In third year students become eligible for campus placements. There were many companies including reputed banks visiting college for placements and majority of around 80% or more got selected/ cleared first round and started their placement journey. From what I remember packages go around Rs.180000 - 240000 or more depending upon students skillset. My plan is to pursue MBA with business analytics specialisation in an international University in the UK and hopefully continue ahead for PHD.

Empowering Journey

Likes

I like the scholarship for girls like there are 3-4 scholarships based on various criteria
I like the facilities given by college. Overall experience was good.
Teachers were so supportive kind and nice, encouraging everyone to participate in various activities

Dislikes

Some teacher’s don’t give notes and encourage to make your own notes.
From my point of view the staff sometimes were very rude and disrespectful.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Overall semester curriculum was good. It had given a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of how management works domestically and internationally also and i was able to grasp topics very quickly and teachers give real life examples in order to make it easy to understand. In bachelor of management studies,students are given proper corporate knowledge practically and theoretically also.

Likes

Most important thing i liked is teachers and students interaction. Doubt solving and keen environment.
Well spaced classroom and healthy environment
Motivating student to take part in activities. Encouraging them to be the one and shine bright.

Dislikes

More activities like curricular should be designed to encourage students more and made a compulsory for them to participate and learn something,
More out sider activities should be conducted by the college to understand them corporate life. More mentoring session should be given on interviews.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Overall superb rating I would give to my course curriculam. The specialization we have finace with marketing and Hr with marketing definately help us in our career journey as well as in the growing and dynamic world. They guide us well and help us to develop for real world. Overall its great but needs to improve in areas like giving extra mentorship to the students for interview, job preparation and related field. The overall timing exam are well managed and scheduled well.

This is a womens college, so as it comes, the atmosphere is very endearing, the faculty is competent and friendly.
New infrastructure has been introduced, the canteen and classrooms have been renovated, they make for a pleasant learning atmosphere.
The management is very supportive of extra curricular activities, they provide all that is needed, encourage students to participate more, activities are funded sufficiently.

Dislikes

The sanitary pad vending machines need to be fixed, since this is a womens college.
Students need to be allowed to use designated charging ports for laptops and devices, so they can work on their academic projects.
The OS on the library computers need to be updated, windows 2007 is no more relevant.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements in their third year, sixth sem. Companies like Wipro, TCS, iRobokid, Dalvik apps, Lodha visit the college. Most of my seniors did recieve placements this year. You need to clear any ATKTs from your first year to be eligible.

The teachers are knowledgeable and putting lots of efforts to understand us the clearly concept the way she explain us I like I like this methods and techniques
The Non teaching staff are also good all are help us if we do anything

Dislikes

Canteen area is small so it is difficult for us to wait for chair or at one time I find rush I didn't get space for standing in the canteen to eat my meals

After semester 4 there is placement organise in the campus the company like hdfc and kotak mahindra bank and many other companies come and take interview the students who have clear all 4 semester are eligible for placement average package is 2.5L p.a 70% students get placement

Reality of well known college

Likes

College has good infrastructure supportive staff and management
College infrastructure is very good near to the railway station
Course syllabus is up do date for carriear oriented

Dislikes

College has crowded places it's in front of the roads only
They provide scholarship only for gujarati jain minorities
They don't provide proper internship or placement

Course Curriculum Overview:

My interest in the account part because I want to do something in banking service sector also I have to give some government exams for the government job department teachers are helping me regarding what books I have to prefer and how to study they guide me well But somewhat I feel they can make some changes in their syllabus they have to provide updated version of topics which is not only for exam oriented but also for the real life oriented. They conduct every two months new exam .

Honest and gentle

Likes

Teachers of psychology department, extra curriculums
Projectors stalled in most of the classes.
Taking out for different kinds of visits.

Dislikes

Misbehavior of staffs towards muslim students
Not allowing muslim students to wear by their own choice.
Religion discrimination can be found amoung non-teaching and teaching staffs

The course I am studying is overall good, teachers explains all the topics by relating them into real life. Some teachers don't focus on teaching as compared to others. There are several trips conducted for understanding the concepts effectively.
