Course Curriculum Overview
All good the course is very good for technical interest. Teaching method is also good teachers are very supportive in all the things.co curriculum activities are also good. Timing of exams is also good.
Internships Opportunities
The college provides internship opportunities through institutes like Imarticus Learning. These internships focus on skill development and practical knowledge. Stipends are usually low or not provided, but students gain experience, work on projects, and improve their technical and communication skills. One of the opportunities I received was with Imarticus Learning, where students are invited for internships and training sessions.
Placement Experience
Placement opportunities at SMT. P.N. Doshi Women’s College are average. Some companies visit the campus, but the number of opportunities is limited. Basic support like guidance and training is provided, but students often need to work on their own skills to get good jobs. Overall, placements are decent but not very strong.
Fees and Financial Aid
The yearly fee for my course (SYBCA) at SMT. P.N. Doshi Women’s College for the academic year 2025–2026 is approximately ?45,932. This includes multiple components such as tuition fees, admission fees, development charges, lab fees, and other compulsory charges. The tuition fee is ?22,000 per year, which is the main academic cost. Apart from this, there are several additional charges like: Admission fee (?550) Development fee (?2,000) Laboratory fee (?6,000) Examination fee (?365) Add-on course fee (?2,500) Library, internet, and database fees (?2,000 combined) Gymkhana, sports, and student welfare fees (?800 approx.) Miscellaneous and university-related charges All these together make the total yearly fee around ?45K–?46K. Course Fee (Overall) Since BCA is a 3-year course, the total cost comes to around ?1.3 to ?1.4 lakhs for the full duration. The fees are slightly increasing every year due to added facilities and university charges. Scholarship / Financial Aid In my case, I received a scholarship benefit (WFC adjustment), due to which the balance due is ?0. In this scholarship the college pay full amount of course fees and as well as exam fees .The college supports government scholarships like: SC/ST/OBC scholarships Minority scholarships Merit-cum-need-based schemes The scholarship amount varies depending on eligibility and category. Overall Opinion (Affordability) The fees are moderate and reasonable compared to other colleges in Mumbai offering BCA. Considering the facilities, labs, and additional activities included, the fee structure is justified, although yearly increments may feel slightly high.
Campus Life
My overall experience at SMT. P.N. Doshi Women’s College has been good. The college provides a safe and supportive environment with helpful faculty and decent infrastructure. Campus life is enjoyable with various activities and events. Academics are well-managed, but placements are average. Overall, it is a good college for learning and personal development.
Admission
In terms of comparison to other colleges fees is very affordable and the most safest it is girls college. And the thing is girls are very helpful. The environment of girls for studying is good ???? and addmission process of college is first u have to give entrance exam cet and after result you fill the form and select our college. Easy process
Faculty
The faculty at SMT. P.N. Doshi Women’s College is supportive and approachable, with a good faculty-student ratio. Teachers explain concepts clearly and help with doubts. The BCA course structure is relevant, covering both theory and practical subjects like programming and databases. The exam system includes internal assessments, practicals, and semester exams. The marking scheme is balanced. Exams are of moderate difficulty, and most students pass if they study regularly. Overall, the academic environment is good, but more industry-focused learning would be helpful.
Night Life
Since SMT. P.N. Doshi Women’s College is a day college, there is no night life on campus. College activities are mostly held during the daytime, including events and fests. However, being located in Mumbai, students can explore nearby places and enjoy the city life outside college hours.
