Course Curriculum Overview

5

In my personal opinion, I love accounting and that is the whole reason I took accounting and finance to be my future. Due to nep's introduction of new theory subjects, the pressure of studying theory subjects have been increased. The accounting concepts and practicals give us immense information about the real life application of those principles.

Internships Opportunities

4

Internship was offered by two companies I don't remember the name, but they were unpaid internships and most students applied because there was no unnecessary workload given by the companies. My experience with workspire marketing internship was very great, the team leader was a very humble and kind lady she taught us a lot about marketing of the company products and services to the world wide market.

Placement Experience

4

Till now I have no idea about placement details or anything related to it. But I have heard that our college has had some great alumnis who were placed in top companies over the world due to their extreme skills. In person I know one of the person who is working as an RBI level 3 officer. I am planning to go to UK for MCOM in finance and I have applied for scholarship through my college itself

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure was 36000 for first year, 38000 for second year and 32000 for third year. The differentiation of fees were specified in the fees receipt but was not of a huge significance. Everyone had same fees, there was no difference in fees based on minority or inhouse. No scholarship was provided to any student during the first year

Campus Life

5

There are multiple fests organised by different committees. Siesmic is the cultural committee of the college which organises events various festivals and annual day of the college ehich was titled pandora. The best fest in the college is conducted my Fantasies which organises various intercollegiate competitions which last for a period of 15 days and on the last day dj night is also organised. Rotary club is also there is our college. Disha is another fest organised by disha committee. Nss and Ncc committee is also there. Library facility is top notch, every book needed for the course and for acquiring various knowledge is available in the library. Classrooms have projectors for better teaching. Sports and extracurricular activities are comparatively less since most students don't know about the existence of gymkhana committee. I have not yet seen and social groups or clubs in the college.

Admission

I actually didn't apply to any other college. I wanted to go to sies college because I wanted to get exposed to a newer area and meet new people. I was happy that I found some really great people in this college that I would like to keep for the rest of my life. The admission process is online as well as offline, after the online form filling, when your name is announced in the merit list of the college, we need to visit the college to fill an offline form for admission.

Faculty

4

Faculty and student relationships are very healthy The IV creates a very friendly relation with the hod of the department and the students. The best visiting faculty for BAF is Sunil Vellachar, the professor of economics and law, he is the most experienced person a student would need to teach economics and law. There are total 6 semester, 2 semester in year year. Around 10 subjects every semester.

Interview Experience

5

There was no interview or any process for the admission. The admission was directly done throught south indian minority and there was no obstruction during the whole process. It took almost 1 week for the whole admission process to end

Night Life

3

There are multiple restaurants and cafes to visit in sion. One the best place to visit for a great view is sion fort which is at 10 minutes walking distance from the college. Inside college the most famous place to hangout is the red stairs. Which is literally a stair that leads to a wall.

Placement Experience:

At TCSC placements are quite good as anyone. Even the SOBO colleges and Mithibai don't have placements as good as us. So this is why I always dreamt of studying here because since last 6-7 years, Thakur College placements have gone better and higher.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The B.com is not a very comprehensive and complex degree to complete for someone who wants to pursue his/her career in finance. It can be referred as an initial start or push start for one's finance journey over the years. Also the relevance of B.com in real world is gradually decreasing day by day.

Placement Experience:

From semester 5, you become eligible for final placement and semester 3 for internship placement. many companies like Nykaa, Myntra, Duetsche Bank, Morgan Stanley, Deloitte, Zomato, Beerbiceps and more have visited. the highest package in history is 38 lakh per annum. The average is 8-9 lakh per annum. Around 70% of students get the college placement. My plan is to start my own business after college. I am although doing internships through college. Already done one in Beerbiceps and one in chorus call.

Remarks:

The good thing is that the college was not strict and was never forcing us to study rather it was seeing to it that it gave us proper advice and help us reach more towards my career goal. The bad part would be there were may staff which was very dull and was not kind, and no importance was given to correct their behaviour although it was evident by all.
