My College As It Is

Course Curriculum is perfect since it gives us a touch of all engineering subjects in the 1st year and from the second year we have our core subjects. But the problem is that they only engage in giving us theoritical concepts rather giving us the ways to solve real world problems. The exams timings are well maintained but sometimes they put a couple of exams in the same day which makes us feel tired and impatient.

Since I am the first year student I do not know in detail of internships here. But we are given roles of sales in most of the product based companies as a new intern. They make us work on very good projects like developing a website for different firms like hospital, bank, etc.

Placement Statistics are very good in the previous years. A lot of good companies come here for campus placements every year and this is the thing which attracted me in this college. Students can sit in campus placements in the 3rd year 6th semester. Last year around 100 companies visited the campus with a no of offers. Highest package is around 24 to 30 LPA and average package goes around 8 to 10 LPA. Almost all stufents of CSE batch gets placed with a placement percentage of 95% My plan is also to crack a dream package of 20LPA after completing my degree here.

2 fests occur here : In odd semester the Tech Fest named AARUUSH occurs and In even semester the Cultural Fest named MILAN occurs. It has a very big library with all new books and journals available and is maintained very well. All can access the library with proper attire and the college ID card. All the classrooms are digitalised along with blackboards so the faculties can make the best use of it to give a good explanation to students. All the clubs here are run by students and some are maintained by faculty members.They provide us with vast opportunities to develop ourselves with weekly hackathon, ideathon, etc along with a number of workshops.

Hostels are well maintained and cleaned regularly We have a bed, a table, a chair and a cupboard in our room. Quality of meal is very good but menu is always same and never changing. Registration for hostel is first come first serve basis if we are late for registration then we would be unable to get the hostel. Non AC rooms are affordable but AC rooms are expensive and the rent is very high. Offline PGs are not that good

I chose this college by looking at it's placement statistics because a number of good companies come here for placements in the campus. The campus life is very good in the college with no ragging. The classrooms are well maintained with centralised AC. I chose this college because it is an old and reputed college in South India. The admission process starts with SRMJEE which is an all India entrance exam to get into this college. It occurs in 2 or 3 phases. The admission process is smooth and the staffs are also very helpful.

Some faculties are very helpful and explain concepts in a very interesting way. While some just come and read their ppt aloud and go. Internal has a weightage of 60 and end semester has 40. Cycle Tests are conducted often and paper is solvable if we read and come. Apart from cycle tests there are presentations and all in the internals.

Gym timing - 5:30 a.m. to 8a.m. and 3:30 p. m. to 7:00p.m. Cafeteria- 9 a. m. to 5a.m. Hostel in time is within 9p.m. Campus In timing- 9p.m. In weekends we need to take a permission slip to go out from the respective hostel. We have TP stairs and java food courts to hangout with friends inside the campus and outside there are many good courts, pool etc available. Local train facility is there in the opposite of the university for travelling to nearby places. College campus is very safe to roam about in night
