Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is quite nice and you get a lot to learn through it. Basically it’s an easy course for one to do. Students who have pursued commerce in their higher classes find the syllabus quite easy to learn. They start the program by teaching you the basics.

Placement Experience

3

The placement cell isn’t up to the mark for the BCom program. The placements at MIT are best for MBA and engineering.

College Events

5

Cultural and sports events have created MIT a hub of everything. Students get to learn a lot other than studies. The college conducts a hell lot of CO-curricular activities in the college like acting, fashion, cricket, football, basketball swimming etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees for BCom in 2019 is 60000. It has been increasing for the past few years. Actually the fees aren’t that expensive, as compared to the living expenses. The crowd in MIT is cool, everyone lives a nice life over here. You’ll get a living expense of at least say 20-25k every month.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I haven’t applied for any scholarship or education loan for this course of mine. But there are scholarship criteria in the college.

Campus Life

5

The campus life is quite awesome over here. You’ll find an awesome crowd over MIT. Extracurricular activities are the ones that have held the university. The college conducts various programs for these activities on the campus. The students at MIT are also quite friendly.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni or senior students are good too over here. You’ll get the best feeling in MIT other than any other college in Pune.

Admission

I entered college quite late like at the end of July. I got in on the basis of my 12th marks which were 85%. But if someone holds merit above 70% then you can easily get into MITWPU BCom program. You should apply for it beforehand and the merit lists will be declared around 2nd or 3rd week of June.

Placements in my college are decent but not very high. students usually become eligible from the final year and few companies visit for roles like accounting assistant, sales, customer service. The average package is usually around Rs.2LPA-Rs.3LPA.

Due to NEP the course has been more developed to the students and teachers also explain the topocs to us very clearly and the thing should be change that the timing of the paper are at morning time which is at 7:30am it should be 10 or 10:30 because this time the students get late to the paper and didnt get time to prep.

Course Curriculum Overview:

One of the key aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the B.Com course at Sydenham College was its strong foundation in core commerce subjects such as Accounting, Economics, Business Law, and Finance. The structured progression from basic to advanced concepts, along with exposure to subjects like taxation and auditing, made the program particularly appealing for students aiming for careers in finance, CA, CS, or management.

Placements society of college is just a decade old and still top companies like Zues Capital, Barclays, and Icici bank are among the top colleges that have become a part of ecosystem where 30-40 students is what each companies hires every year. Not many though as too many sections and 500+ students means getting placed even half the students can be a task where Mithibai placement percentage is 60 odd percentage.
