Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose the B.Com Professional Accounting course as the standard of the syllabus seemed advance as compared to General B.Com. The curriculum aids you in preparing for professional exams such as CA, CMA, CS and ACCA. Practical on the job training is compulsory and provided by the college itself. Apart, one month unpaid internship of the students' choice is mandatory. Exams are of moderate difficulty. Affiliated with the University of Madras.

Internships Opportunities

3

Internship opportunities are to be generally landed by the students but various departments take initiatives to provide both paid and unpaid internships to their students. Roles vary based on the field of education.

Placement Experience

3

Students become eligibile for placements from the 6th semester (final semester.) Companies visiting include Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, GuideHouse, Bajaj Finance etc Highest package - 5.4 LPA at Bajaj Finance for wealth management role Average package - 2.5-3 LPA My plans are to continue my professional course after degree

Fees and Financial Aid

Year wise fees for B.Com Professional Accounting when I started my first year in 2021 was 60000. In my final year it was 72000 INR. Private scholarships are provided upto almost 100% by various charities tied up with the college.

Campus Life

4

Campus is spread over 25 acres with a massive cricket ground. Greenery all around the college. College conducts multiple cultural events every year. 2 mega libraries and centres for skill development included. Classrooms equipped with smart boards. Each department has its own association to conduct events.

Admission

I chose this college as it allowed me to pursue another professional course and also because of the proximity to my residence. Admission is based on merit, demanding minimum 70% marks in your senior secondary exams. Overall admission experience is smooth and hassle free.

Faculty

4

Faculty consists of both senior members and freshers. Ratio is usually 1:40. Pretty approachable in general. Outside faculties are invited to provide extra knowledge. College is autonomous so syllabus is framed by the college. 3 exams in a semester. The mid semester, model and the end semester exams. 40% minimum marks required to pass the end semester exams. PTM conducted once every semester. 2 large libraries and learning centres equipped in the college.

Night Life

3

College has 3 cafeteries providing a wide variety of food, both veg and non veg. Locality is very safe. College has hostel arrangements outside the campus. College timings are segregated into 2 shifts, with 1st shift from 8 am to 12:50 pm and 2nd shift from 1pm to 6 pm.

Accounting and Financing is my intrest When the world start to depend on AI, I started to learn Accounts and Commerce concepts. It prepares me more intellectual, and enables me to handle real world tasks. Moreover I am learning something which is never thought by schools.(Discipline, Social interactions). It needs to include real time example and focus on economics and history of Accounting Exams are conducted twice in a semester (internal) and end semester exams are conducted once per semester The difficulty of the exams are really easy if we just pay attention for the lectures

Placement Experience:

In MCC there is placement but it's not 100% placement, only 10 to 20 from a class of 60 gets placed, so when it comes to placement it's upto to you and your skills. Normaly the placement enrollment starts at beginning of your 5th semester or end of your fourth semester, you can opt for placement or higher study. The highest package was from Standard Chartered & Deloitte it was 6 Lakhs CTC. Accenture, TCS and some well known companies will participate in placement drive. The average package will be Rs.3.5 Lakhs CTS. I'm planning to go for higher studies while doing a part time job after getting degree.
