Course Curriculum Overview
I chose the B.Com Professional Accounting course as the standard of the syllabus seemed advance as compared to General B.Com. The curriculum aids you in preparing for professional exams such as CA, CMA, CS and ACCA. Practical on the job training is compulsory and provided by the college itself. Apart, one month unpaid internship of the students' choice is mandatory. Exams are of moderate difficulty. Affiliated with the University of Madras.

Internship opportunities are to be generally landed by the students but various departments take initiatives to provide both paid and unpaid internships to their students. Roles vary based on the field of education.
Placement Experience
Students become eligibile for placements from the 6th semester (final semester.) Companies visiting include Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, GuideHouse, Bajaj Finance etc Highest package - 5.4 LPA at Bajaj Finance for wealth management role Average package - 2.5-3 LPA My plans are to continue my professional course after degree
Fees and Financial Aid
Year wise fees for B.Com Professional Accounting when I started my first year in 2021 was 60000. In my final year it was 72000 INR. Private scholarships are provided upto almost 100% by various charities tied up with the college.
Campus Life
Campus is spread over 25 acres with a massive cricket ground. Greenery all around the college. College conducts multiple cultural events every year. 2 mega libraries and centres for skill development included. Classrooms equipped with smart boards. Each department has its own association to conduct events.
Admission
I chose this college as it allowed me to pursue another professional course and also because of the proximity to my residence. Admission is based on merit, demanding minimum 70% marks in your senior secondary exams. Overall admission experience is smooth and hassle free.
Faculty
Faculty consists of both senior members and freshers. Ratio is usually 1:40. Pretty approachable in general. Outside faculties are invited to provide extra knowledge. College is autonomous so syllabus is framed by the college. 3 exams in a semester. The mid semester, model and the end semester exams. 40% minimum marks required to pass the end semester exams. PTM conducted once every semester. 2 large libraries and learning centres equipped in the college.
Night Life
College has 3 cafeteries providing a wide variety of food, both veg and non veg. Locality is very safe. College has hostel arrangements outside the campus. College timings are segregated into 2 shifts, with 1st shift from 8 am to 12:50 pm and 2nd shift from 1pm to 6 pm.
