Honest review of SRM ktr from first year student

The curriculum is vast, you can choose different fields you want to go intially aswell before joining the college as in specialisation, curriculum is not very up to date though and I think they should have upgraded it. They conduct internal exams through the semester so you need to be always working for it and we have end semester exam after 6 months

Most companies offer junior developer role or analysis role for the internship and most stripend is around 10000 per month but it is rare to get the internship from college since competition is high, companies like samsung r&d comes

From 6 semester as far as I know students starts getting internships in the college and hence in the 7 semester they start getting placed . All big companies visit our campus microsoft, Google and amazon all like other government colleges but the Student selection ratio is very less. The highest package was 60 lacks and average for cse was 10 lacs, around 70 percent students are getting placed, I will start working after my graduation and if needed later on will do masters and mba.

The total fees I paid in the starting of the time when I gave my exam was 100000 for the admission fees and then after filling all the documents and getting approved and registration I paid for the hostel fees that is 120000 and after coming to the college and getting all the documents verified I had to pay half of the yearly fees for the semester that is 2 lacks something and will have to pay the other half for the next semester and we have merit based scholarship also that you can get by scoring good marks in the exam and other scholarship also like for the army kids and for sports based scholarship also that you can get you you haved reached a certain level in sports in india, registration fees was 10000 as far as I remember and lab fees is included in the tution fees, we also have to pay for end sem exam a total sum of 3000 rupees to be allowed to give the exam, we have management seats also that you can get by paying a little extra but we don't have caste based reservation in the college for any course as far as I known, some of my batchmates are paying less than me because they have scholarship but they need to maintain a certain level of cgpa to be able to get the scholarship.

We have two annual tech festival first is aarush and then after Milan, aarush has been conducted already and we are having Milan in march, we have a big 4 floor central library in the campus where you can go study, there are various clubs inside the campus and are very active in conducting activities, We have swimming pool and sports ground too.

In room we can used less powered electronic items but not kettle or ironbox if you do you will have to pay fine of 10000 rupees, food quality is good is message we get fast food and other types of dishes too, hostels are affordable for non ac rooms only but ac rooms are one lac expensiver than ours, there are flats nearby that you can rent if you want to live outside like estancia and aboard valley.

I applied to manipal and vit as well I was getting manipal banglore that is not the main Branch that is why I didn't choose it, talking about vit I didn't clear the exam well enough for me to get cse in the university hence I had only this option, for SRM you need to give SRM entrance test that is conducted online and you can clear it easily

1 is to 60 is the teacher to Student ratio that is as bad as it gets, the relationship depends on you if you sit at front interact with the teacher they will give you better marks for sure, be attentive in class helps,after the class you can go to faculty's cabin for any problem you face. Gopinath sir was my chemistry faculty I liked his teaching methods and he gave intersting assignments. I didn't like my pps lab faculty in the first year she never really taught anything but we had to do everything on our own. Exams are the easiest than any other College and you can easily get 8.5 without studying much.

All the hostel is close after 9 pm students can't get out, we have gym in campus bus very small and java food place where you can get any kind of food you want. We have hospital I inside the campus hance the campus is open 24*7, Night is not very safe to roam outside the campus here
