Terrific training and exposure

Over all this college is extremely good in all aspects. Academically the pressure is high so that we grow into excellent professionals but at the same time many extracurricular activities are there for our overall personality development.

My college is under NITTE university. It is a four year course with one year of internship. It follows the syllabus stated by dental council of India. In our preclinicals and clinicals the quotas are too high so that we get experience and become experts. We are taught everything thoroughly by the teachers and trained as good dentists

Yes our college provide one year of internship where there is 6 months of posting in the village so that we get to handle all kind of situations. We get a lot of patients. We gain a lot of knowledge and experience. Stipend is around ?5000 a month.

It's a professional college so there are no placements. But the college graduates get chance in esteemed colleges for post graduation and open successful clinics. Few of them join the dental council of India too.

Our college is not only good in academics but extracurricular activities too. The 9 department of colleges hold different activities at different times of the year. Besides that we have a cultural fest in March where there are various competitions and all of them participate.

It's a bit expensive than other colleges. It's 5 lakhs per anum and around 1 lakh hostel fees. But the fees is worth it because the college facilities and hostel facilities are excellent. Transportation is also available.

As of now there is no scholarship granted by my college. Everyone has to pay a fees of 5 lakhs per anum and if you leave the college early you have to pay the entire fees and leave the college. You can choose to stay outside the hostel though.

Extracurricular activities are pretty high. There is cultural fest and round the year activities take place. There is competition for everyone. A lot of conferences are held. There are various intracollege and intercollege sports competitions too.

The hostel is one of the best in the country. It has hot water running through the taps for 24 hours. It has good food for everyone. There is pesticide control. The rooms are clean and very student friendly. Security is ensured in both the girls and boys hostel. Two people can stay in single room or there are single rooms too.

Alumni networking is very high in the college. A lot of past pupil are the faculty of this college now. The seniors are also very helpful. We have a no ragging policy in college which is very strictly followed.

There are three sessionals. The syllabus is divided into three halves and conducted through three sessionals whose average is taken and considered as internals. Finally we have an university exam on full syllabus.

I was a dropper and I applied for neet 2017. I had scored around 300 and had a rank around 2 lakh. I had sat for all india counseling for deemed universities and ABSMIDS was one of my top choices for dentistry. After several rounds of counselling, I finally got selected in the mop up round. I accepted the admission and went with the documents required to the college (admit card, rank card, birth certificate, marksheets etc). After the submission of all documents and signing the anti ragging form, my admission was confirmed.

Our faculty is extremely experienced. The faculty student ratio is excellent. Almost all students get good and equal attention from the faculty. All the chapters are taught. Exams are taken so that the students learn properly. Faculty is a very strong factor of my college.
