Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum itself is build on the syllabus of CSIR-NET JRF topics like Molecular Biology, Environment, Techniques , Biochemistry directly helps in the exam. For further pursuit of PhD as academics this curriculum is best as it is vast and widens your knowledge. Some topics like should be added so that it can help for further research. The frequency of exam is fine as every 6 month a exam is conducted and we get plenty of time to prepare for it.

Internships Opportunities

2

Not much companies come for internship But few like DHFL Pramerica life insurance and UP govt offers intership Workshops in different institutes such as IITR or ICSSR happens. Project can be of different topics like Nano toxicology or Environmental toxicology.

Fees and Financial Aid

1.A total of 16,640 rs I paid for a year which includes tution fees (2184) , Development fees (4000) lab fees (3000) , Examination fees (5000) , Student additional (2400), Library and e library fees (600) 2. Batchmates had same fees structure irrespective of their categories 3. UP Scholarship which refunds the same amount as the fees paid.

Campus Life

4

Annual fest appears from time to time and are managed by Sanskritiki Activity Board. Books and journal are easily available in Tagore Library, CCL, E- Library. There is a outdoor sports, indoor sports facilities and gymnasium. Clubs like Lok Drapan Club, Lok kala club. Happy thinking laboratory Counseling and Guidance Cell to look after students.

Admission

I applied in BBAU and i got call for counseling but it was too late as I already took admission in University of Lucknow. The reason was it had better accessibility and better environment. Admission process is simple one has to have at least 60 % in Graduation and has to give PG entrance. Cut-off usually goes upto 130-140 . After selection you directly get a call for counseling. Admission is very easy.

Faculty

5

Faculty - student ration is really good. Many faculty members are directly approachable, they help you with any sort of problems be it academic or personal. Dr.Suchit Swaroop is fine example less of teacher more of a friend. Two exams are conducted Mid sem and End sem both are relatively easy and depends on individuals preparation. It is highly related to curriculum

Interview Experience

4

There was no GD or interview . Only an entrance exam is conducted of 200 marks . One has to score at least 130+ in order to have chances of admission. Criteria for admission is to have 60% in graduation only then you can sit for exam.

Night Life

3

There is a gym, many cafeteria such as Science Canteen, Commerce Canteen , Parag Canteen . Tagore Library is old library of LU , CCL and e-library where students can access computers for their personal use. Campus timing is usually 6am to 8 pm And hostel is 5 am to 8 pm. Famous hangout spots are Danbro, Tafree cafe, IT Chauraha The place is not as much safe.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Msc.Biotechnology is a good course. The laboratory aspect has pushed me a bit to make the decision. Curriculum makes us academically good but not good for real world. College laboratory needs improvement in terms of installation of proper laboratory equipments. Teaching skills & class control methods needs improvement. Teaching should be made more industry based and practical based. Exam pattern is good, not very easy to pass, have to work hard to get good marks.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This is a postgraduate course so I took admitted to this course because I want to become a lecturer (Professor). So after doing this I want to pursue a doctorate degree. Teacher student ratio in this course is 1:60 In this college, there are both permanent faculty and guest faculty. Permanent faculty has better teaching skills than the guest faculty because the majority of them are students who pursue doctorate degrees under the guidance of this college's Professors. They generally lack experience. The teaching method is excellent for permanent faculty. Exams are held timely. One is held in the month of December and the other in May. There are four semesters in this course. The paper level is difficult. One needs a descriptive knowledge of the subject to score good marks in examinations. Previous year papers can provide a lot of help.
