- The campus is really huge and consists of many departments have different building for different branches ,which made it easlier for everyone to commute the classes
- Good lab structure and good student faculty
- Good social activities like clubs and cultural fest like milan
Dislikes
- Teaching methods are outdated and could use some new teachings
- Lack of communications with students for soft skills
- Teachers are partial towards the local student and different treatment if you are from different part of the country
Course Curriculum Overview
I would rate the course 6/10 ,the course felt like it hasn't been changed for thepast 10 years ,I would prefer to have less cycle tests having 2 cycles tests rather than 4 .the course prepares you sufficently but not upto the national standards
Placement Experience
7Th semester onwards you can start sitting in placements delloite ,amazon ,google ,Bcg etc they had the top companies visitng but selected very few students . highest package was near 50lakhs and average was 4lakhs . plans after degree to study aboard.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have completed the college in the year 2023 and the education fees I was paying was RS2,50,000 .This was a one time payment in one year supposed to be given in the start of the semester ,security deposit for id card was Rs1,000,extra cirricular was Rs10,000.The batchmates were having different fee structure depending on the entrance exam rank.
Campus Life
the college had many fun activites and clubs like DSA. SRM mun was also there which is fun to be a part of . AARUSH is the the techinal fest and milan is the cultural fest . Sports only local students were selected in the college teams.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel faculty is very friendly and make you feel like home ,you can reach out to them for any issue you are facing towards your stay in the hostel . the hostel food was very bad offen found insects and pebbles in dal.
Admission
I chose the college due to it having good placements and many of the MNCS visting the campus ,moreover the college was in a different state ,so had a good time living in a new place and environment .they have their local srmist exam through which they accept admissions through the rank obtained .
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is 1:14. Very few faculty members are helpful towards students coming from different part of the country I liked none of the faculty Hannah pauline was my class incharge and was partial towards the local tamil or southindians. there are 4 cycles of exam ,cycles 1,2,3 and fairly easy the 4 cycle test or the finals are more towards the hard side .
Night Life
Gym was always crowed to prefer to join outside the campus . hostel timings were 10pm in time for boys and 7 pm in time for girls TRS and potheri were the local spots in between the classes. the college is on outskirts of chennai so no local malls are there .
