SRM UNIVERSITY AP REVIEW

My course is Bachelor degree in computer science (CSE) aspects which influenced me to choose this course is from childhood I was very intrested in computers and stuff like software even though my family background is entirely related to Civil engineering I was only one to choose this path so that's how I ended up taking this course. Curriculum prepares us very well to real world applications like we get to know from in field experts we get lecture from in field experts once in a while like how is industry changing things we need to adapt in this generation of technology like curriculum knows how to train students for the jobs or even some students will be there who might come here by force of parents or relatives but they might have intrest in any sort of business ideas college also encourages that type students we also have separate subject in 2 semester about entrepreneurship and college also funds us if our ideas is good and I don't think any other colleges in india focuses this much in entrepreneurship that is very good. For now there is no issue in curriculum no need to change but we can't say in future I needs to change or not but for now it's good. Timing and frequency of Mid and End semester exam are 1 hour for Mid semester exam and for End semester exam depends on subject if it's physics it's allotted 3 hours but for normal subjects it 2 hours difficulty level for Mid semester exam is moderate and For End semester exam is moderate to hard

Companies come for internship in our college are mostly startups and major companies also comes but I don't have that knowledge about companies for now I have a little bit knowledge I know we get a stipend of 25000 to 100000 a month depends on the student and their skills and their performance if he performed well he can also get PPO (pre placement offer ) so yeah that's it

Placement are good we can get intership offer from 2 year itself but most of students prefer it from 3 year where companies come for both intership and campus placement and from 5 or 6 semester you can apply for internship and campus placement are taken from 7 and 8 semester. Last year like more than 50 companies were visited for campus placement Including FAANG and MAANG like top tech companies and most of students got recruited other than students who want to pursue master and something like most students gets recruited. Average package is like 9.8 to 10 lacs per annum and highest package was 50 lacs per annum in college. Almost everything studen get placed in any company either for 10 lacs per annum. And my plans after getting degree is to do Masters in abroad I personally don't think only with one degree we can sustain in this field especially in tech field like nowadays everyone has a degree so we need to have something that most of people don't have we need to get seperated from others who just do degree and just relax chill like that so I personally feel doing masters especially in abroad would be better from my future and I also geet to do intership in between I I wanted with that I can also get experience and also get different from others

For me yearly fees for course other than hostel is 360000 and the hostel deends on what sharing and AC or NON/AC mine is NON/AC 4 sharing bunker bed and the fees for hostel for me is 160000 and hostel fees depends on what your type is and talking about course fees there is APEAMCET exam where you can get fee concession my friend who got here by APEAMCET for them course fees is 100000 and that is paid by Andhra Pradesh government they only have to pay for hostel I got here by SRMJEEE which is conducted by SRM itself I got 2000 rank and I didn't got any scholarship but if we get rank below 1000 we may get concession and also it varies by cast like ST, SC etc. And fees overall for CSE is 360000 and varies for course like Civil engineering fees is like 260000 yeah that it

Campus Life is good we have 3 tech fests a year other than that we have sports fests. We have a library with just lots of book journal and novels everything newspaper and it's open 24×7 a week it's open everytime we can any time in day which is very good. In class we get separate chair for individual and also comes with a touch board which can be connected to laptop for any purpose. Their is a big ground and nets for cricket and football court and volleyball court and badminton court and also basketball court other than outdoor games we also have indoor games like table tennis chess and other games. We also have clubs and social groups and they are lot of fun so with that said campus life is good

Mine is NON/AC 4 sharing bunker bed in my room we get 4 desks and 1 celling fan and 3 wall attached fans 1 bathroom with western comot a shower and 2 bunkers and 4 lockers which are big enough to pack of entire clothes and our essentials we got 3 windows for ventilation but the problem is vijayawada and amaravati are places where their is terrific heat coming like in winter it's like 40 degrees and don't ask in summer it easily goes to 50 degrees so I don't prefer someone to take NON/AC but it's their choice it's just a advice. Food is good

Main reason I ended up in this college is I am from Andhra Pradesh my parents won't want me to go too far from state which most of parents usually think that is primary reason is this college is why more better than other colleges is Hyderabad and Andhra Pradesh like Hyderabad is called one of top cities in country but even though I didn't infrastructure of college and also curriculum of that colleges were very old according to my brothers who already studied and graduated from other colleges in Hyderabad but I first time saw and researchd about this college I felt this is good in infrastructure, curriculum,sports culture, this is far more better than other colleges in state and also strength is very decent I would say compared to other colleges like they just take students form everywhere like there are college with 10000 students like it's very clumsy and everything here it's very decent like in my batch of 2024 joining batch there are like 4000 students total which is very great compared to other colleges. And I did applied to other colleges but I didn't get CSE from there I got Mechanical, Electrical,Civil, which I always not very interested even though I was interested in Civil but I still gave it a chance by what if I ended up getting CSE and I tried I got CSE and I joined here. And addmission process is idu2 types either you join through APEAMCET which is government exam where you may have chance of getting scholarship and other waynis SRMJEEE which is exam conducted by SRM itself here it's quite hard to get scholarship because of people giving the exam and that stuff so I suggest if anyone joines perfer more to join through APEAMCET where you can get scholarship which I didn't write and I regret that so yeah that's it

Faculty is very good and friendly everyone has Phd in their respective fields they are very friendly particularly no faculty is there which is don't like I respect everyone everyone is great talking about approachability each faculty has their own cabin in campus in campus hours we can visit them if we have any doubts other than campus hours like in Saturday and Sunday which are holidays we can mail them faculty provides their personal and also acedemic mail id we have any doubts we can mail them and clarify the doubts. Talking about exam we have Mid semester exam and also End semester exam in between them we also get tondonsome CLA which are actually assignment given by faculty and also we get to do some presentation as assignment so that wwe can get good at speaking and presentation skills which are very important in placement Mid semester exams are not that tough it's moderate we can answer if we go through concept clearly but for End semester exam paper is hard like we need to practice everything but also not that tough if you study properly like 1 week before each subject we can easily get upto 8 CGPA. Talking about students who fail to clear the exam get to appear In arrears which are kept and next year where you need to follow the current semester and also need to go through the failed subject which is previous semester which is hard and in my batch no one is failed luckily. Course curriculum is good we have 6 subject per semester in which only 4 are considered for Mid semester exam and End semester exam course curriculum is good. So yeah that's it about faculty, approachability of faculty, exam and course curriculum

Night time we really don't have much of hangout spots because there is classes in but we do have some spots like night canteen where we can eat anything if you feel hungry even though there is nothing much to say about night life I can definitely say it is good
