What Students Say
Likes
- The institute has the vast spacious, lucious scenic beauty. The campus has calm environment and due to which there is great diversity of wildlife in the campus, which in these era of climate change is a plus point I guess.
- The centre of attention though is the CHARUSAT Pond. The pond is built as a waste water management solution and it denotes the sustainability of the campus. Not to mention the solar powered institutes.
- The funding of the institute is par from the other colleges. The projects funded by provate as well as government are given to the college. The projects are the reason for the betterment and development of students.
Dislikes
- Sometimes, the education can become monotonous and may bore you. But the reason for that is education system and not the institute.
Course Curriculum Overview
Personally, I knew that I wanted to go into the research field. But the biotechnology seemed most reliable to go to. And the curriculum seemed most interesting when I saw while taking the admission. The curriculum is well designed and makes you industry ready and ready for the competitive exams like GATE, JAM, CUET, etc after the bachelors. If you see onto the teaching methodology, every week there are around 20 hrs of hands-on laboratory practicals. And 15-20 hrs of theoretical classes. There are two exams in a semester, first one is called Internal Exams, consists of 20 marks. And there is final exam called External Exam. Consisting of 70 marks for 3 credit courses and 30 marks for 2 credit courses. Previously there used to be 2 internal examinations. But from this year they have decided to take only one. Apart from this therenis constant evaluation during the laboratories. And yeah as mentioned before CHARUSAT is 100% paperless examination college. SO NO PAPER WASTAGE :) GOOD FOR ENVIRONMENT.
Internships Opportunities
Our college provides Summer Internships for all the student. Many students from different colleges come to our college for internships. But our college always encourage to aim higher. Thats why they push us to pursue the national level internships provided by all other national bodies and institutes. Speaking about me, I landed to a GSBTM sponsored internship last year into the National Institute of Plant Genome Research (NIPGR), New Delhi. And my god, experience there was just wordless. The exposure that you get while living with the PhD scholars and National Scientist is a once in the lifetime experience. And this internship would never have been possible if my professor would not have forced me to apply to it. The experience and exposure that I got was worthless. Now apart from this GSBTM sponsored internships, college keeps on scavenging the internships always keep pushing the potential candidates to apply and get exposure.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tution fees for a semester is Rs.35,000 which includes laboratory facilities, computer lab facilities, library and all other facilities available in the institute. And there is Rs.2,000 charge for the University Exam. So in total the fees is Rs.37,000 per semester, that is Rs.74,000/Year
Campus Life
As mentioned before the infrastructure and environment of the campus is just sustainable and peaceful. Just a small visit to the campus will speak for itself. Most welcome. If you see for student clubs, there are book readimg clubs, sports clubs, cultural clubs, freelancing clubs, NCC cadet clubs and many more.
Admission
There is basic minimum requirement in 12th Boards to get admission. Apart from that there is no requirement of any entrance exam and all. The admission procedure is smooth like butter. You can apply it directly on the website and pay the admission fees and done thats all.

Night Life
Honestly, I have just visited campus in night for only thrice. That was for the navratri night event that we call as "VRUND", and twice just roaming. The overall experience was dope. Because there are so many foodstalls, shops, etc.that too while being in the outskirts.
