- The college environment is really nice; even though MCC has an old infrastructure,its lush green forest and scenery make up for it.
- Mcc has an amazing list of its variety flora and fauna ,which includes deer ,porcupine,peacock,butterflies ,etc....
- MCC also has an amazing new infrastructure called the MRF innovation park,which is a innovation incubators program for future innovators and startups
Dislikes
- just like the the college the facualty is also really old in their thinking and decisions ,so old fashioned,not very modern or forward minded.
- In heavy rains the beauty of mcc becomes ten times better but at the sametime MCC becomes 100 times scarier because of the risk trees falling over and other life endangering risks
- MCC needs to be a little liberal on its rules and regulation especially with the management side and also CUS (the college union society } needs to be better and strong.)
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is fantastic but not easy to grasp. It heavily depends on theory-based learning instead of practical-based learning, but it's robust and resource-rich. we have 3 CA exams which are practically internal exams and will add up to the actual sem exam marks these are important because if you miss them you can't pass the exam and you will be required to reattempt the exam if you don't get the aggregate.
Fees and Financial Aid
ok the yearly fees is around 75000 rs for the first year,first sem which would be typically a bit high than other semesters ,first sem i paid 58,000 and 25,500 for the second semester,then 40,000rs for third sem and 25,500rs to fouth sem ,which i am currently pursuing in,and the 5th sem will be around 40,000 rs and 6th sem will be again 25,500rs so the whole sem fess will be 65,000 approximatley and 2,15,000rs.
Campus Life
our college has an innovation centre ,and i think it was the best part of mcc ,atleast for me ,its modern ,future proof and awesome ,it was a really cool library too,we have scrub society which is an organization that protects the flora of the college and we have wildlife conservation society both of them collectively protects around 390 acres of land managing issues and problems of the flora and fauna in college,we NCC,NSS and innovation council for the welfare of the students of MCC,we have a credit system for this in place too.
Admission
i was actually really late for admission submissions ,so there werent many options to be honest ,except ,SRM college,LOYOLA college ,Madras Christian College and Kristhu jayathi college in Bangalore,and only got selected in MCC and Kristhu Jayathi,compared to kristhu jayathi ,MCC felt better for some reason,because i know tamil fluently which gave me confidence to explore the city of chennai ,which wasnt the case the bangalore i dont know neither kanada nor hindi ,i would trapped between language barriers ,so i opted for Madras christian college ,and i think it was a good decision after all..
Faculty
we have enough faculty for the 7000 students in our college, but still, the issue is with the attitude and behaviour, and thought process of our faculty that pisses me off, they are so old-fashioned and backward thinking,but they do know how to teach for sure ,and are well educated in that particular subject,almost industry experts to be honest ,but just like the college the faculty is also stuck in the past ,which isnt great for students living in 2024.
Night Life
yeah so we have a large cafeteria called the student center ,everything there very affordable and cheap ,there had been some quality control issues.still i love the price and the food...not the best food but it was worth the price we pay...bell tower ,green esque,student centre,botany tank ,zoology tank these are the main hangout places inside the college at night andhapuram is pretty safe and not after 11 in the night ,it sint that safe around the college ...the police and locals are super rude to students of MCC
