My perceptions

College is really good. But, the washroom facilities are really disheartening. There are no much drinking water facial as well. As we know, if there is positives, there will be negatives as well. In the whole, when we look back to our college life, it's only the good moments with friends and memories will matter.

I have chosen Information science and engineering. Our department is considered to be the smallest hence the smartest. Usually, ISE department contains very few students, but the students are all extraordinary. The course opted seems to be similar to Computer science in all aspects but differs in few subjects in the final year. The course proceeds with the technologies that are trending and information in depth for each are provided. Seminars and workshops are also conducted to boost the students with the current technology.

Yes, in the year 2018-19, internship was provided to the final year students by the company "Aricent" for a duration of two months. Various tests and exams at the end of each week was conducted to test the student knowledge and to provide the meritorious certificates. No stipend was provided. Only participation certificates were given to all the students

Placements are really good. Placement training was started right from the first year which was carried out by "Quantech Technologies" to boost our communication skills. This placement training really helped us during our placements. Almost 50-60% of the final year students are placed in more than 1 company. In campus as well as pool campus placements are also available according to the eligibility criteria of the students. Finally, it depends on the students as to how they perform in job interviews.

Every even semesters Fest is conducted which will be organized by any 1 department exclusively. Events considering every students talents are enlisted such that all students get to participate. It will go on for 2 days and these will be the most fun-filled days. Events like face painting, cooking without fire, etc are carried out. Every department will organize Freshers day for the 2nd year students and Farewell for the final year students which will be filled with full of surprises. Faculties also will be very enthusiastic.

Fee structure is quite expensive for students from middle class families. There are also options to pay the fees through installments which brings a relief for the students and their families. But, as the proverb goes, We need to lose something to achieve something. And at the end of graduation, one will be satisfied with the life the institution provided.

Yes, scholarship is provided depending upon the caste certificates. The amount varies for students which depends upon their Semester Marks. Minority scholarships are also provided for students from backward classes which helps to cop up with the expenses.

Various extracurricular activities are provided for students as per their interests. The labs are convenient and students are allowed to experiment their theories practically. Sports are also available for students interested in it.

Hostel facilities are not at all sound. Many of my friends shifted to PG being unable to stay in hostels. The food provided also is not much edible. The canteen is also not that satisfying. Usually, it depends on the cook.

The Alumni network is quite strong. They help the students with the current trends in technologies and also with the job opportunities. They visit college often to keep the students updated with the market needs.

We come under the VTU University. It is quite good but a little hectic to cop up. Final exams takes place in every semester after a duration of 6 months. Internal exams are conducted once in every month to obtain the average. Overall, the syllabus doesn't match with the trending technology. Moreover, practical knowledge is way more important than theoretical knowledge.

I got admission here through CET merit list. There was a choice to list out the colleges which a student prefers. Hence, I did the same. For better convenience, CET provides 3 round of selection as well. I chose this college in the second round.

The faculties are very cooperative and very friendly. They try to concentrate on each student and bring the best out of them. They are really hardworking in order to reach up to the technologies and help the students for the same. The faculties are student-friendly in co-curricular activities as well. They encourage the students to explore in the fields their talented in.
