Overall review of National College Jayanagar

I choose this college because of NCC because the achivements and discipline of cadets was good. And few senior's warned me about this college.for sports there are hell lotof opportunities but College doens't support you in any kind. Coming to curriculum it has basic teaching doesn't prepare you for real projects we should learn all by ourselves. Evn lab aren't that great we have all old computer which do not work properly. We have very well quipped lab but they gave it enginnering block which was started recently.

For 1st two years it was 63000 And for final year it is 70000 It's same for everyone no matter what caste we belong to . They don't give any scholarships to students, other than single parents student get few scholarship (not everyone again) There are no merit scholarships or scholarships for any achivement we do. Now the fee for new joinees is way too high around 85000-95000 which is not at all worth because they do not provide facilities worth the money.

Every year there is feast conducted by final year students where it a kindoff farewell also . The college supports us but will not be funding for it. And this feast will have only local boys teasing girls. Coming to library, it has huge library but all books outdates it's high time they change. Extra curricular activities do have a lot of exposure here they send to university meets if you are interested but college doens't give much support or validation or appreciation for what you do . There is no social clubs in college,the college lack students . Approx only 300-400 students will be there in a year.

I actually wanted to take a drop for JEE exam , but i realised late and regretted it . Most of the college didn't have any seats left only few colleges in and around Bangalore had , are those were below average. Only this college had NCC as well as good sports opportunities as I was a Athlete i joined here. The admission procedure was nothing evn if you score 40% or even less they'll take you in , there is no cutoff for students. And admission have become very less maybe 40-50 students in a course . But exams a easy to moderate because they'll have direct questions asked .

It is 1:60 ratio of students . They are quite approachable but computer science department HOD sucks , she is always targets student once you fail to submit any assignment or get low marks or you are in a part of any extra curricular activities you are done , she considers you as dumb. There are no faculty I like , since only one two are oldest and have some knowledge others are juniors teachers just graduates from college teach us. We'll have two internals every sem , which are quite easy because we'll direct questions unlike other universities. Since it is autonomous paper are made by our professors. Exam are also quite easy if you put in some efforts.

Gym has good been maintained well not bad , but the dumbbells were robbed once and never been replaced. The college will open all the time for sports or NCC cadets. The canteens is run by two females aunties, the food isn't good . They fry everything with the same old for days . I had stomach issues eating here. College open at 9 and closes at 5 pm after that there are no students seen in and around the campus
