Likes

A well structured curriculum, supportive ,faculty ,good placement opportunities, a well maintained infrastructure and a vibrant student life.
Annual Fest like Ignitia and TechExpo is conducted for the recreational purpose .
Industrial training and various internship opportunities are given.

Dislikes

Attendance above 90% is compulsory if less then fine is charged.
Timing is from 9AM to 5PM which is a huge duration.
Various restrictions are there but yes they are all in a healthy way.

Course Curriculum Overview

Psit is ranked as one of the good colleges in UP.Moreover about placements it had a good record during my admission time and best reviews were there so I took admission. There are internal and external exams both at PSIT.

Class Size: 65Course Fees: INR 180000 per year

Internships Opportunities

OFF campus internship like Microsoft,Autodesk ,amazon and goldman sachs companies are for Students to apply. Moreover, Students can enroll for incubation and entrepreneruship cell for various projects too.

Placement Experience

From 7 th semester palcements are carried on. Many companies like infosys,accenture ,wipro SAP labs do visit college and students do apply for off campus also. College provides tarining opportunities too.

Fees and Financial Aid

PSIT is great renowned college and ranked as best in UP. IT offers many courses. I opted of Btech CSE which costed me 180000 per year that is around 7,20,000 of 4 years (only academic fees). Hostel fees and Bus fee are not included as I have not opted for hostel and Bus. As I applied for UP scholarship so I got 50,000 in each 2nd year and 3 rd year of course. That's all about the Fee Structure.

Campus Life

Fests like Ignitia is conducted in march or april for the recreational purpose and mood refreshment. Also Technical fests like Techexpo are conducted for students to make projects and win cash prizes.

Admission

I applied for delhi university but i had not gone for the same due to expenses as it would cost me for the hostel+food and the travel expenses too. So thats the only reason i didnt went for the other cities college.

Faculty

My course was affiliated with AKTU university which has 100 marks paper along with 50 internal marks. Faculty provide the notes which are suuficient for the exam purpose. I took direct admission in the collge while some took counselling.

Night Life

There are cafeterias like Nescafe,Brio,Cafe 2004 and CHE canteen and a new outlet Samocha is also opened over a few months ago. Hostel timings for boys is 9:00 pm and for girls is 7pm after which noone is allowed to roam around.

Placement Experience:

Till six semester students become eligible to sit for placement recruitments. As placement rate is low so most of the students prefer to persue pg after qualifying GATE or CAT. Many companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra, Wipro etc. Visits the campus for Recruitment but placement is totally based on the skills and knowledge of the students. Campus provides very calm and clean environment and ample time to involve yourself in any exam preparation. No one is their to hamper your studies. Library is available 24×7 and one could utilize it very judiciously. Highest package reached in my course is approx 10 lakhs and Avg. Package is of 6.75 lakhs offered by the Company. Approx 5 to 10% students are placed Based on their skills. My plan is to preapare for UPSC simultaneously along with my btech

Choose a better college for engineering .

Course Curriculum Overview:

The faculty was not bad but sometimes they will not attend the class due to this student not being interested to attend the classes. Also, this college removes the b.tech course from the next session may be. though the faculty taught really well. It takes only pharak courses.

College experience as a day scholar

the only reason i choose this college was because i availed fee wavier and our financial condition was not so good back then. I failed to score good marks in JEE advanced or else i would've enrolled in some iit. The college does try to match its pace with tier 1 colleges but there's a lot more to be done. I came here through aktu councelling i know in noida there are better college i applied for it also and I got 1 college of noida but in next round I got psit so think psit is better from that college and it's good form all the college Even in placement scenarios. College Review about PSIT KANPUR

I have applied to different colleges but i couldn't make their due to financial issues. I choose this college over the others is because the fee structure is less as compared to other good colleges. As well as there aee some college who take higher fees but provide same package that concludes that taking part in this college is better than that particular colleges. There are many ways through which you can take admission in PSIT Kanpur, i.e. through jee mains and direct admission.
