Course Curriculum Overview

3

The curriculum supports programming so it is very easy for us to understand and learn. You need to study on your own and develop projects for real-world applications or placements or internships. Some of the subjects in the B.tech course are irrelevant which can be removed. Teachers can be less strict and should understand our difficulties as well. There are 2 exams, mid semester occurs during the 2nd month and the end semester during the 4th month of the semester. Both are easy to pass but if you want to score well then you should study a bit

Internships Opportunities

4

Deloitte - offers internships and placement opportunities Cognizant - Direct PPO Lti mindtree - Direct placement capgemini- Direct placement some of the startups offer internship before placement. Some of the projects require the students to work on learning new technologies or even perform some of easy tasks said by the company or even work on a live product

Placement Experience

3

7th semester and 8th semester students are eligible for placements Companies visited - Wipro , Deloitte, Book my Show, TCS, Capegemini, Cognizant, Stanza Living , Optum Highest package - 20 lpa , average package - 6.5 lpa Students placed % = 80 % I plan to continue with job and later decide about higher education

Fees and Financial Aid

Year wise fees - 350000 (175000 per semester) One time admission fees-75000 . Tuition fees and including others is 1,75,000 for B.Tech CSE There are scholarships for top 1000 students in the KIITTEE exam. Those who get scholarships only have to pay 12 Lakhs instead of 20 lakhs for normal students Fees have been increasing for the upcoming students. It is 2,00,000 per semester right now as far as I know

Campus Life

4

Kiit Fest is the most popular which happens during January and February. Important festivals like Holi , Diwali or Saraswati puja , etc. occur according to the calendar year Many books and journals are present at the library but those books are a bit outdated. Facilities inside the classrooms are nice. Decent benches and ac as well Sports and other activities are very nicely supported. Even stadiums are present here to practice. There are tons of clubs in the society which you can join easily. You can learn something useful.

Hostel Facilities

4

We get a cupboard , bucket , pillows and blanket on initial entry into the hostel. Types of room - 3ac , 3 non ac , 2 non ac , 2 ac with bathroom Hostel food is very bad but you can take as many as u want Registration process for hostel requires you to mail the hostel authorities as soon as possible else your spot might be taken away

Admission

I applied to Bits but i was not able to give the exam due to some reasons. I went with Kiit because it was near to my home location as well. I was not able to get into other colleges because I did not give Jee because I was dependent on boards but nothing happened so I got stuck Then I cleared Kiit so went with that I scored 85 % for B.Tech:CSE. You can easily get B.tech cse here even if you score 70%. Admission fees is 75000 and you have to give KIITEE exam to join the college

Faculty

3

Faculty-student relationships are fine. It totally depends on the nature of the teacher. Teachers can help you with publishing research papers. Faculties are approachable Ma'am Bindu Agarwal is really nice because she is very polite and teachers very nicely. Anjan Bandopadhay sir is also very humble and easy to talk to. These are some of the best Debashish sir and Subhasis Das sir are not good. They are very strict and they don't give good marks for exams. Only 2 exams , Mid semester and End semester exams. Mid sem is easy but you have to study well for end semester. Both are easy if you just want to pass. Mostly all the students clear the exams. Course curriculum is fine according to the current standards

Night Life

4

Hostel in timing is 6 pm for 1st year, 7pm for 2nd year and 8 pm for 3rd and 4th year students. Gym and cafe closing time is 8pm Library is 24/7 open for the students There are many places to hangout in Kiit Road. It is safe to roam at night

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs

Placement opportunities in my college are good, with students generally becoming eligible for campus placements from the pre-final or final year, depending on the course and company criteria. The college has an active placement celll that supports students by Organizing training sessions, resume building and also mock interviews.
