What Students Say

Likes

The aspect appreciated here in this college is freedom and events conducted by various clubs
The campus life here is good.dosent have ragging
Learning facilities are also quite good have friendly teachers in some departments the girls to boys ratio is descent

Dislikes

The hostel they have no proper management in the hostel and the food they make sucks
There are some facilities who don't care how the student study while some are literal masterpiece
The hostels here are not worth the money we pay for. Have bad management and laundry sucks

Course Curriculum Overview

Biotechnology is a field where we have more lab work than theory But the curriculum here for engineering here focuses on by heart practice than understanding The faculties just come blabber something and just move out The exams hereare very frequent. CTS are conducted every month

Year wise tution fees 285000 Each scholarship provided in SRM Needs a minimum CGPA of 8.5 Fees for B tech computer science ranges from 285000 to 400000 Registration fees is collected at time of admission which is ?10000

Campus Life

The college has 2-3 main cultural events which is done on a big scale The events done here are mostly organised and managed by clubs and the students in those clubs The funding provided is also descent The class have mostly projecters for classes

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facility here sucks They charge us lakhs together for an year which is not worth for the facilities we get The hostel food sucks here and many people have had medical issues after having food from the hostel mess

Admission

The other college I applied for had very high ranking systems which was difficult to achieve The questions the colleges used to have in their entrance exams were type of different Admission process in this college is straight forwd These people accept JEE main and have their own entrance exam called SRMJEEE

Faculty

The faculty present here are mostly chill But we may find faculties who come to college to satisfy their physcotic part of their brain Exams are a bit easy . The class tests are tough compared to the main semester exams

Night Life

Night life in this college is nil The hostels here have a very strict in time Which is different for boys and for girls The locality here is mostly safe to roam around nights Gym is there only for name sake The gym is waste of time here

Is VIT worth it

Placement Experience:

Placements in VIT UNIVERSITY is very good the average package is 8 lakhs and the Highest may go upto 1 crore every year.There is a separate placement cell in VIT chennai and they give you placement training from start of the third year. Many multinational companies like google, microsoft etc comes to VIT to pick students for their company. Almost 98 percent of the students gets places in VIT. After my degree I choose to sit for placements.

SRMIST is superb in all sense!!

I applied at PDEU, Gandhinagar and SRMIST and both colleges admissions were almost done but since my family is from Chennai, we al decided to stay close to home atleast for UG. Entrance is their for SRM University and one has to clear that to get admission here.
