Course Curriculum Overview

4

The specific aspects of the curriculum that I fluenced my decision to choose this course one is my background studies that is my biology in the 12th standard and I can easy make and understand biology and it's related subjects. The teaching methods in the class is smart class and lab classes and the practical classes are more beneficial. The timing of the exam is per subject 2 hours and 12 subjects per semester. The difficulty level is some time moderate and some times it is quiet difficult.

Internships Opportunities

5

As an B.Sc. Agriculture hons. Student I had got an internship in an government internship scheme from the college. The Gov. Internship was KUS internship provided by the government of India where some selected students are alloted to different districts and they will work under AAO of the block that is alloted to them . They will do all the works in the block office and get experience in the worklife of the AAO . The stipend that a student gets is around Rs.15000-20000 for 3 months internship.

Placement Experience

3

The placements are provided for every students in all the streams in the college and training for the placements. The students are eligible for the placements from 3rd year of the course and 6th and 7th semester. I didn't know all the companies name but some are Accenture , Remsides , and etc . The highest package is 10-12 lakes per annum. The plan after getting degree is preparing for govt. Exams and other competatives.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of BSc agriculture (hons.) The total fee for BSc agriculture is Rs.640000 in which only course and other fees included. And with hostel extra Rs 80000 , and the hostel fees are increasing after every semester. The course is divided in semester wise like in 1st semester Rs.80000 and with hostel including it is Rs. 115000 . There are total 8 semester that is 4years of course . The total fees for 4 years in this course is Rs.960000 with hostel included and other fees.

Campus Life

4

The annual festthat is held in the college is shrujan . And it is continued as series of the shrujan 2.0 and 3.0 . The books are available in the college library and the library is 24*7 accessable. The facilities are provided not up to the price that is paied. Sports and extracurricular activities are not much supported and encouraged rather than if any of the sports team bring trophy then they will provid you with all the essential needs and support.

Admission

The other colleges that I have applied other than this college are IGKV, RAIPUR and OUAT, Bhubaneswar and Govt. Autonomous college , Rourkela. The thing I have liked in the college that I can make new friends out of the near by cities area and the view of the college is beautiful. I didn't get rejected from other colleges as I haven't given the entrance exam for that college as some medical problem was there with me.

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is good enough in the college. The relationship between faculty and the students are good like wise when there is faculty in their good moods and joyful if not then it is the worst class of the students. The doubts are being cleared not every time but okay. The faculty that I liked in the college is Mr. Ashish Tiwary sir from ECE department. As he is the one who has supported in my basketball career in this college . The exams are quiet easy the person who studies can pass easily and can score good marks in all the subjects but if the student is not studying at all then he/she will surely fail in the subjects.

Night Life

5

The nightlife in the college campus is the best time that a student get in any of the college. My favourite spot at the college is basketball ground and volleyball group where I love to play with friends and spends some time ,talk and laugh a lot by toughting each other . There is a spot where some friends gather and talk a lot the we don't get to know the time is the hostel roof top.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Sc.(Hons.) Agriculture is one of the important and relevant subjects out of all. If we say about Indian context then most of the people are dependent on agriculture. So in India it's relevance is very high. This curriculum consists all type of subjects like agronomy, soil science, economics, marketing, pathology, genetics and breeding, horticulture etc. this course is more based on practical than the theory. In our curriculum the mid sem occurs in the middle of the semester which is approx march in winter semester and in September- october in monsoon semester and the end semester exam held in end of the semester which is in December in monsoon semester and may in winter semester.

I generally loved how they showed they give 100% placements. But there is not any. The teaching methods however is very good as they give us mainly practical knowledge and skill based education. Which really helps.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As India is a agricultural country most people depends on agriculture so I choose this course that I think it might have more scope. Through this course, we covered both theory and practice; we planted crops, prepared the field, applied manure to the soil, and irrigated the field. The difficulty is not too hard, and there are about 4 exams in a year, which is very good. In this course we must visit the village and interact with village people know their problems and try to find solutions. In our college we are less interactive with village farmers.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Agriculture course is highly vast and informative. This course actually provides economic knowledge about the food we consume in our daily life and also provides the information about how they are grown and taken care of by our hardworking farmers. And talking about the difficulty level it's actually easy and we just have to get involved in this course as much as we can. Improvement this course requires is to give proper guidance to our farmers and also to provide them with proper wages they deserve.
