Dislikes
- The thing I have disliked is they don't conduct any events like College day , sports day ,etc. But every semester they charge for these events.
- The teaching method of some staffs are not effective.
- During placements only less amount of companies were visiting compared to other colleges
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum covers areas like Data Structures, Algorithms, Operating Systems, Computer Networks, and Databases, which are fundamental in software development. There can add Aptitude, Soft Skills, Resume Writing, and Mock Interviews in the curriculum. The theory exams are moderate but requires a lot of understanding and proper learning about the concepts.
Placement Experience
From 7th semester the students are eligible to attend the placements. The companies visiting our campus are less compared to past three years. Training & Placement Cell organizes various programs like aptitude training, Technical and HR interview preparation.
Fees and Financial Aid
For a first graduate student , per year they have to pay 18000. 9000 for one semester. There is no tution fees for first graduates. For other students they have to pay 12000 per semester , 3000 for tuition fees. Other than tuition fees they charge 3000 for development fees, 300 for industrial visit from each student .
Campus Life
There is no celebrations in this college. The library has a good collection of books, reference materials, and journals. Teaching happens through traditional blackboard method. There is no sports events conducted in this college.
Admission
I choose this college because it is a government affiliated college, the tuition fees at UCEN were significantly lower compared to private colleges. Since it is present in my home town , I preferred it over colleges in Chennai or Coimbatore to save on hostel and travel expenses. A student can get admission through counselling conducted by Anna University.
Faculty
The faculty student ratio in our college is 1:23. The faculties I have liked are Jeya Sheeba , Subash , Jeba Anand because they don't show any partiality among the students. There are two internal exams in each semester . There is a practical and semester exam at the end of each semester.
Night Life
The college is near to Nagercoil city, so there is a lots to place to explore . There are restaurant, library near to this area. The hostel is very strict. Outing time for hostel students is very less.
